Purdy should have had at least 3 interceptions. While Purdy's numbers have looked good this year, he takes a lot of risks. Our D-line should be getting plenty of pressure on the QB as well as batting balls down.

The Niners did run CMC up the middle more than I thought they would. And I don't think the Lions could miss any more tackles than they did that day.

yeah, I keep trying to figure out if CMC is a more powerful runner than I gave him credit for or if the Lions defense just didn't tackle for shit.

Probably a bit of both.

If McDuffie and Sneed can handle their WR's...which I'm of the belief they can, making Purdy hit tight windows is the key here. Mixed with the blitzing and looks to get pressure against an OL that features basically 1 good OL, that means Kittle will have to stay in a ton to help block taking a way a weapon.

It doesn't take much to fluster Purdy.

It's a part of his game, and he used it effectively. Even before they were down, he'd escape the pocket just to buy a little bit of time, then throw a strike to Juszczyk.

I think the fear is him moving the chains with his legs, cause thats been a particular weakness for us. If he extends plays with his legs and then throws, I trust our DB's to be in the right spot. But little 10-15 yard scampers while everyone is busy dealing with CMC, Deebo, and Kittle? That could get annoying pretty quickly.

Romanowski snapped Dave meggetts finger in the bottom of a pile. Who in their damn mind puts any stock in who that guy roots for. I imagine he also roots for serial killers

Purdy is slower than our LB's I just don't see his legs being that big of a factor.

Spags is gonna have to pick his spots more on sending pressures, knowing that if you leave Deebo, Kittle, and McCaffrey one-on-one and they catch it, they might just house it if you don't have extra bodies back there.

Unless they think sending six will force SF to leave extra blockers in.

He flustered Kyle Shanahans offense in the first SB with less talent while Kyle had a more experienced QB with good weapons...

He did the same last year with basically this same crew.

One way to keep the from killing you in the pass game is forcing them to stay in and block

McCaff is probably the hardest one to deal with. He's the ultimate bailout option for a panicking quarterback. So many easy little dumpoff throws to McCaff and then he makes a big play after the catch.

I could see that. Its possible the Niners just haven't dealt with very good LBs in the postseason to stop him from running around.

I trust Spags 100%

And the truth is, Detroits shitty defense handled him pretty well, I think he's slowing down he's had just so many touches.

The Chiefs had more than 500 yards of offense and dropped 44 points on this Niners defense last year in San Francisco.

When their defense and DC were much better.

Killed em with sweeps by Hardman.

They will do more of that and the quick screens outside to slow Bosa down.

It's like people don't grasp this isn't Robert Saleh and the elite personnel they had in 2019..this isn't Demeco Ryans the hot up and coming DC who ends up being a pretty good HC.

This is Steve Wilks who is older and does what he does which is sit in zone and pray that his front 4 can get home and Fred Warner can be a superhero.
