Looking at midseason transactions, the notable ones that I see are:
Signing LT DJ Humphries Signing TE Peyton Hendershot Signing DT Siaki Ika Trading our 4th round pick (#168) for Deandre Hopkins So we can add those three guys to our training camp rosters, and we can choose to accept or reject a trade of Pick #168 for Deandre Hopkins. Any other mid-season acquisitions that I'm missing? I'm not considering guys who got cut after being signed. |

ER Josh Uche was a trade of a 2026 6th round pick to New England WR Tyquan Thornton was signed to the PS in November. Not sure if any other PS signings have long-term effects. Baylor Cupp? |

We can add Tyquan to our training camp rosters if we wish. I pondered Keith Taylor, which is a weird case because we cut him and then re-signed him. But since he was in the Chiefs training camp last year, I think we probably shouldn't get him unless we kept him in our initial 53. But that's kind of a gray area. What do you think? |

So to summarize, We need to accept or reject the following trades before the draft. Our 2025 4th round pick (#168) for Deandre Hopkins A to-be-determined conditional 2026 7th round pick for Peyton Hendershot A to-be-determined conditional 2026 6th round pick for Josh Ouch The Bears' 2026 4th round pick for Joe Thuney (if he is on your current roster). We can add DJ Humphries, Siaki Ika, Baylor Cupp, and/or Tyquan Thornton to our training camp rosters. We can also add any other midseason or offseason acquisitions who were not cut in the Chiefs training camp, though I won't bother to come up with a list since I don't think any are still on the Chiefs roster. So far, we're also adding Jaylon Moore and Elijah Mitchell in free agency. So far, we are losing Tershawn Wharton and Justin Watson in free agency if they're on our current roster. |
I'll copy and update this as we go, accounting for free agency.
Base picks: 1-31 2-63 2-66, but only if you had Sneed on your roster prior to 2024 and accepted the trade and removed him from your roster last year 3-95 4-133 (or is it 4-132? I see both listed in different places.) 4-168, unless you accept the trade for Deandre Hopkins, who's gone now. 7-226 if you accepted last year's trade for Ihmir Smith-Marquette. Otherwise, you have the ... I don't know. What pick do we have if we rejected the trade? I can't find it anywhere. Is it 7-256? 7-251 7-257 Can someone confirm these. I see some conflicting information online. We need to accept or reject the following trades before the draft. Our 2025 4th round pick (#168) for Deandre Hopkins. A to-be-determined conditional 2026 7th round pick for Peyton Hendershot A to-be-determined conditional 2026 6th round pick for Josh Ouch The Bears' 2026 4th round pick for Joe Thuney (if he is on your current roster). If you did NOT have Mecole Hardman on your roster, you get the #6-207 pick. Otherwise, you don't have it. We can add the following guys to our training camp rosters: DJ Humphries Siaki Ika Baylor Cupp Kristian Fulton Robert Tonyan Elijah Mitchell Jaylen Moore Tyquan Thornton. We can also add any other midseason or offseason acquisitions who were not cut in the Chiefs training camp, though I won't bother to come up with a list since I don't think any are still on the Chiefs roster. We're losing the following guys to free agency if they're on our current roster. Tershawn Wharton Justin Watson Justin Reid Samaje Perine Deandre Hopkins |

Since I didn't have Hardman to trade, I couldn't accept the trade for Cam Thomas in retrospect, not known at the time. I'll remove Cam from my roster when we start the process.

These look correct Rainman.

Awesome. Thanks, kccrow. These are always hard for me to unravel, particularly with conditional picks.

I think I’m generally looking at the below. There’s a few Chiefs additions I didn’t add in (likely training camp fodder) that I reserve the right to retroactively add in lol.
Pre-draft Roster QB: Patrick Mahomes (Chiefs) 1 Gardner Minshew (Chiefs*) 2 RB: Breece Hall (Jets) 1 Chase Brown (Bengals) 1 Kenneth Gainwell (Steelers) 2 Kareem Hunt (Chiefs*) 2 Elijah Mitchell (Chiefs*) 3 FB: None WR: Marquise Brown (Chiefs*) 1 Keon Coleman (Bills) 1 AT Perry (Broncos) 2 Jermaine Burton (Bengals) 2 Troy Franklin (Broncos) 2 Trey Palmer (Buccaneers) 2 Skyy Moore (Chiefs - Drafted) 3 TE: Travis Kelce (Chiefs) 1 Robert Tonyan (Chiefs*) 4 OT: Orlando Brown Jr. (Bengals - Trade Executed) 1 Rasheed Walker (Packers) 1 Jaylon Moore (Chiefs*) 1 Jawaan Taylor (Chiefs*) 1 Ethan Driskell (Chiefs*) 2 OG: Trey Smith (Chiefs - Drafted) 1 Hunter Nourzad (Chiefs - Drafted) 2 OC: Creed Humphrey (Chiefs - Drafted) 1 ———————- DT: Chris Jones (Chiefs) 1 Khyris Tonga (Cardinals) 1 Siaki Ika (Chiefs*) 2 Dante Stills (Cardinals) 4 Kristian Boyd (Saints) 4 Jaden Crumedy (Panthers) 4 Eric Johnson (Patriots) - 4 DE: George Karlaftis (Chiefs - Drafted) 1 Mike Danna (Chiefs) 1 Isaiah McGuire (Browns) 1 Carlos Basham Jr. (Panthers) 4 OLB: Drue Tranquill (Chiefs*) 1 Leo Chanel (Chiefs - Drafted) 1 Jack Cochrane (Chiefs*) 2 ILB: Isaiah McDuffie (Packers) 1 Nakobe Dean (Eagles) 1 Drew Sanders (Broncos) 2 CB: L’Jarius Sneed (Titans - trade declined) 1 Joey Porter Jr. (Steelers) 1 Mike Hughes (Falcons - Trade Executed) 1 Kristian Fulton (Chiefs*) 2 Corey Trice (Steelers) 2 Tariq Castro-Fields (Panthers) 4 Darius Rush (Chiefs - Drafted) 5 S: Ji’Ayir Brown (49ers) 1 Nick Cross (Colts) 1 Jaden Hicks (Chiefs - Drafted) 1 ———————- P: Matt Araiza (Chiefs*) K: Harrison Butker (Chiefs) For draft picks, I generally rejected or was able to execute everything including the ISM trade based on my historical notes in order to maximize picks. I elected to keep Sneed, so I don’t get the extra 3rd. Draft picks 1-31 2-63 3-95 4-133 5-167 6-207 7-226 7-251 7-257 |
Roster musings…
Past drafts: 1. The first year I played (2022 draft) I took Carlos Basham over Nick Bolton or Paulson Adebo with my initial/first pick. That was a swing and miss. Can’t go wasting 1st picks like that. 2. Last year I took Keon Coleman over Ladd McKonkey with my first. My head and heart said to take Ladd, but I got wooed over by the perception at the time that Coleman was primed to immediately be Josh Allen’s #1. I blew that. 3. I’ve been platooning late round / UDFA DTs. It worked for a few years, but that strategy fell apart last year. 2025 Draft needs: 1.WR: I desperately need a “dude” at WR, Hollywood and Coleman are starters but not enough to carry my team. 2. DL: I need production and depth. 3. OG: I need a second starting caliber player. 4. TE: What happens to me post-Kelce? 5. LB: While I have a good collection of guys who will start or be high utilization backups, I’d love to add some more talent to the mix. |
I believe that these are our draft day trades. You can accept or reject any of these, and also make one tradeup/tradedown of your own with the discounts noted in the rules (which are there to offset you having perfect information).
7-251 and 7-257 for 7-228 5-164 and 7-226 for 5-156 3-95 and 2026 4th for 3-85. Assume 4th is coming from Thuney trade? 1-31 for '1-32 and 5-164 I don't see what pick number the 2026 4th is. Do we have our own and the Thuney pick? You might have to accept that one blindly. Also, if you reject the Thuney trade we might have to assume that you can't make this trade since the Thuney pick might be part of it. Does this all look right? |

Remember that you have to had traded Ihmir Smith-Marsette to Carolina if you are executing this trade: 5-164 and 7-226 for 5-156. 7-226 came from that deal.
