The Rams will arrive on stage soon. They're out on a run.
Welp Run, Brown's already been picked, so I'll go ahead and pick for you since Rain Man is ready.
The Indianapolis Colts select KeAndre Lambert-Smith, WR, Auburn |
Is Abdul Carter still available? Thinking about taking him next.
The Rams appreciate your patience and are on the way to the stage.
The Rams pick will be announced by a Chiefs-Rams alumnus who has been part of some of the most pivotal plays in NFL history. We present to you Patrick Mahomes II's first receiver, and his 5K/50TD receiver. It's Demarcus Robinson! He has played in 130 games for the Chiefs (97) and Rams (33).
https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/p...nucck4rr0kzjgchttps://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...33jKot0OADgQ&s Demarcus comes out onto the stage and reads a card. "Louisville, QB, Shough Tyler select Rams The." Goodell comes up and points out that Demarcus is reading the card backwards, and Demarcus tries again. "The Rams select Tyler Shough, QB, Louisville." |
The Rams also decline to make a tampering complaint against kccrow for Post #477. Shough was our #1 target for this pick and we were worried that someone was going to jump us. But all's well that ends well.
Demarcus lets the broncos know that they're on the clock, and they have 5 percent less time since they're at a high altitude.
The Denver Broncos select Drew Kendall, C, Boston College. The Cleveland Browns (reportedly in need of a QB) are on the clock.
The Cleveland Browns select Will Howard, QB, Ohio St.
Bungles up next but I don't think Mecca every checked in.
The Cincinnati Bengals select Tim Smith, DT, Alabama
The Jacksonville Jaguars select Jared Harrison-Hunter, DT, SMU
The Rams' next pick is made by a famous former Chief-Ram, Mr. X Factor himself! (The football one, not the meth one.) Dante Hall takes the stage, having played in 112 games for the Chiefs (97) and Rams (15).
https://mosportshalloffame.com/wp-co.../11/Hall04.jpghttps://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/1C4AA...sx/s-l1200.jpg Dante reads from the script. "The Rams select Jaylen Reed, S, Penn State." |
Dante has informed the Lions that they're on the clock.
Lions select Theo Wease, WR, Missouri
The Denver Broncos select Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State. The Green Bay Packers are on the clock and have been tapped on the shoulder.
Two Ok State players in a row.
Green Bay Packers select Collin Oliver, LB, Oklahoma State |
The Los Angeles Chargers select Yahya Black, DT, Iowa
The Cleveland Browns select Antwane Wells Jr, WR, Ole Miss
The Rams will be on our computer soon. We're pondering three players, and just need to figure out which two will get the call.
The Rams pick will be announced by Chiefs-Rams icon Joe Phillips, who played 104 games for the two teams (Chiefs 91, Rams 13).
https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/jNYAA...JGg/s-l400.jpghttps://blogger.googleusercontent.co...08_1-33-32.jpg Apparently no photos exist of his relatively uneventful stint as a Ram, so you'll get two Chiefs pictures. Joe comes out on stage, talks a little bit about concussions, and then says, "The Rams select Joshua Gray, G, Oregon State." |
Joe leaves the stage, offering a high-five to the next player to come out. Gary Stills was a linebacker, though he was best known as Dante Hall's personal protector on returns. He played 102 games for the Chiefs and Rams - 88 for the Chiefs and 14 for the Rams.
https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/K2Xb...261/stills.jpghttps://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...ary_Stills.jpg Gary steps to the podium and makes the pick. "The Los Angeles Rams select Luke Lachey, TE, Iowa." |
On a trivia note, I find it interesting that Dante Hall went to the Rams in the 2007 and 2008 seasons, and Gary Stills went to the Rams in 2008. Did Dante lobby for him as a special teams escort, perhaps?
The Baltimore Ravens select Tommi Hill, CB, Nebraska.
Gary makes a call, and the Ravens now know that they're on the clock.
Duncan has been notified
The Rams have now completed their draft.
Despite having no second-round and fifth-round and seventh-round picks, the Rams are happy with this draft. They addressed all of their main areas of needs and always seemed to have a good player available to fill in roster gaps. This draft seemed to fall perfectly for them. 1-26 OT Kelvin Banks, Texas 3-90 LB Barrett Carter, Clemson 3-101 CB Dorian Strong, Virginia Tech 4-127 DT Jamaree Caldwell, Oregon 6-190 QB Tyler Shough, Louisville 6-195 S Jaylen Reed, Penn State 6-201 G Joshua Gray, Oregon State 6-202 TE Luke Lachey, Iowa |
The Dallas Cowboys select Kyle McCord, QB, Syracuse
The Washington Commanders select John Marshall Jr, CB, Florida

Making the selection for the Dolphins is the exceptionally tall former cornerback Sean Smith! Smith played 108 combined games for the Chiefs (45 games) and Dolphins (63 games).
https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...X-ug7nBDfNyQ&shttps://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/i...xen5CvKgFRMw&s Sean steps to the podium and opens his envelope. "The Miami Dolphins select Elijhah Badger, WR, Florida." |

Will get my Steelers pick in within the next hour. Need to make it home and do a quick review. Didn't expect the last few picks to go so quickly!
Really tough pick, I was torn between S, LB, and WR to close out the Steelers class. I think there is some value left at each of those positions which made this even harder for me. I’m going for what I see as BPA left at those three positions:
The Pittsburgh Steelers select Malachi Moore, S, Alabama |
Both my teams are wrapped. Pretty happy with how the Steelers draft turned out, but I would definitely wish I had done a few things differently for the Cardinals.
Cardinals: 1-16: Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama 2-47: Alfred Collins, DT, Texas 3-78: Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky 4-115: Xavier Restrepo, WR, Miami 5-152: Smael Mondon Jr., LB, Georgia 7-225: Tahj Brooks, RB, Texas Tech University Steelers: 1-21: Mykel Williams, DE, Georgia 3-83: Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama 4-123: Quincy Riley, CB, Louisville 5-156: Jordan James, RB, Oregon 6-185: Ty Hamilton, DT, Ohio State 7-229: Malachi Moore, S, Alabama |
Sorry for the delay, I'll have mine in shortly
Carolina Panthers select Justin Walley, CB, Minnesota
Making the selection for the Miami Dolphins is a blast from the past. Running back James Saxon played a combined 102 games for the Chiefs (54 games) and the Dolphins (48 games).
https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/p...8am4pw12pm.jpghttps://www.mainlineautographs.com/w...2011111395.gif Saxon gets straight to the point. "The Miami Dolphins select Kaimon Rucker, Edge, North Carolina." |
Saxon lets the Colts know that they are on the board.
We're going to get this shit done before Thursday, I feel it!
My 3 remaining picks will be quick. Promise.
Colts select BJ Green DE Colorado
