Yeah. I just don't give a shit about this stuff. Play our game and execute, and there isn't ANYONE who can beat us no matter who the Ref Crew might be.

KC_Connection 01-20-2025 02:36 PM

Ancient history? Isn't that the last playoff Chiefs game he actually did?

Everyone talks about the Jones RTP call (and rightfully so) but there were Patriots catches in that game that also never should have been called catches.

It's a coincidence. I just went and looked at the games we lost and only one of them had a controversial call.

He officiated last year's Christmas game against the raiders.
2021 last game of the season against the chargers when we rested our starters. 2021 against the ravens when we were in FG range and fumbled at the end. The chiefs Rams epic shootout. Hard to pin any of those on the officiating.

The only one we lost with a big call was the 2019 AFC title game against the Pats.

It was a poor game for sure.

But on balance, the rest doesn't concern me.

I'm not gonna quibble about 1/10.

I'd been dreading them giving us Blakeman in the playoffs again since that game and they finally did it just after a media-led firestorm over the Chiefs allegedly getting too many calls. Interesting indeed.

Nearly every thread in TwoBillsDrive talks about how they are confident but the refs... They say if they get a game reffed like last night it would be great and it was fair. LMAO. We would be playing the Ravens if they don't call that shitty DPI before the half, and then the late hit out of bounds on Lamar was obvious too. Josh is also the because flopper in the league... with Video proof.

2. Somehow hide Bryan Cook. Him getting turned in circles is nightmare fuel.

3. To help the above, the front HAS to win. We expect CJ. Need George to have some quick wins. This is Omenihu's time to shine.

4. I don't usually say this but let's get some ****ing turnovers. The Bills are way overdue some and it's what really changes these games.

5. Throw early and often to WRs dammit. The Bills give you anything under 15-20 yards. Take it. Get DHop involved, he can destroy their soft zones.

6. This really goes without saying but the OL needs to hold up. If they struggle early, the whole passing game seems to get in a funk that they don't come out of.

Man I'd kill to see the offense come out and look like the best version of itself. We know what the D is. Buffalo isn't scoring 30. If we could just channel some of that prime Mahomes, OL holding up, WRs tearing up those soft zones, maybe the crowd is screaming Worthy in unison, reminiscent of Sammy. Let's ****ing do it!!

imo a lot of what you are saying keys into 1 thing.....

GIVE HUNT THE MAJORITY CARRIES!

He is just the better RB he is more consistent and sets our whole offense up for success. Nothing against checko but offense on the ground should run through hunt. Ride him.

I mean, the Chiefs are playing in their 7th consecutive AFCCG, we could probably TRY to find a tiny bit of context without jumping off the ledge of "emergerd the league has it out for us" by default...

He's reffed in several championship games over the past several years.... it's not out of ghe ordinary at all.

In the Chiefs losses, they had what like 5 turnovers in that Rams game... one was a toss up game in their first AFCCG in 30 years (and Tom Brady is retired, he can't hurt us any more), one was a TNF opener where the Ravens ran for like 800 yards.

Bills and Allen... beat the Jets, beat the 2022 Lions, beat the Panthers, beat the Broncos.

.....so, just maybe he's been part of tougher games for one team over the other?

Who was officiating the most recent game between KC & Buffalo? That one was heavily steered for Buffalo.

1. ZERO holding calls on the Buffalo OL the entire game, even though Chris Jones was grabbed by the jersey on pretty much every play.

2. Major holding call on Chiefs OL to kill a drive in the 2nd half.

3. Major DPI call on Chiefs secondary to extend a Buffalo drive after a failed 3rd down. Buffalo scored a TD on this drive.

4. Buffalo got away with pretty blatant OPI for one of their TD plays. Classic pick/rub OPI play.

5. Buffalo got away with holding on Josh Allen's TD run at the end of the game.

Twitter fantards will say the league always favors the Chiefs. Yet, evidence points to the contrary. In their biggest games the Chiefs play, you will see either Cheffers or Clit. Worst of the worst.

Bills sign a player that is made of glass and then cry when he isn't available.

Did you know the only reason we won last year was because the wonderful Matt Milano wasn't out there?!

Kudos, I could actually understand this post. Nice work!

I need reassurance, does anybody feel remotely confident?

RunKC 01-20-2025 04:04 PM

Land Clark was the lead ref in the Bills loss.

We last lost with Clete Blakeman on the Xmas disaster vs the Raiders and we deserved that L. He hasn’t been apart of our losses before that since like 2021.

WTF would you not feel confident in the 16-2 KC Chiefs who are undefeated at home this year?

5 HOF players, a HOF coach and several other All Pro caliber players on the roster AND the refs are in our pocket from what I hear.

Put your house on it.

I think we held back in the regular season game both offensively and defensively.

We’re healthier on both sides of the ball and the LT disaster has been largely fixed. Bills have some key injuries.

I feel pretty optimistic.

So Benford, Johnson, Rapp and Milano are all banged up? I'm not gonna be surprised to see them all play next Sunday but clearly that game yesterday took it's toll on Buffalo.

Uh, idk.

Two time defending champions with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid, among other things?

That do anything for ya?

Not surprising considering the Bills field is turf and they have no heating system. The game was pretty much played on concrete

Their safeties are a weakness even if they are at 100%.

This time we need to actually attack them.

Right. Every game has basically been decided by 1-2 plays. Guys saying they’re supremely confident are lying. Bills offense is better than ours that’s a fact. Our D is probably better than their’s. So…whoever doesn’t turn the ball over wins.

RunKC 01-20-2025 04:19 PM

Josh Allen didn’t play well last night passing the ball. He just didn’t make any mistakes.

They have been elite at moving lineman and running the ball, whether that’s with Cook or Allen himself.

Put Trent on Shakir all game and crowd the box using manipulation. Stop the run and force them in 3rd and long and we got this.

Bills will give us a good fight. Though their defense is small and lacks talent, they seem to be greater than the sum of their parts.

Obviously Josh Allen is always a concern.

Also, I think losing so frequently to us has changed McDermott. Expect them to go for it on pretty much any and every 4th and 2 or less beyond midfield. I’ll also expect them to go for it on 4th down late in the game instead of giving the ball back to our offense willingly if it comes to that.

.. But we’ve got Reid and Mahomes. Kelce is getting fired up. We’ll have Hollywood back. Kareem had a good game against them first go ‘round and he should be pretty rested now. We had Wanya at LT last time; it should be better with Thuney.

If you don’t feel confident after these last few years, you just ain’t got it in ya, big dawg.

Confident? Absolutely not. Josh Allen is going to end up being a top 5 QB of all time and we've now been given a referee who was the central figure of one of the biggest screwjobs in a football game over the last decade (which came at our expense).

Mahomes is still Mahomes, but this will be his toughest challenge of his career.

Prepare for desperation from the opening snap.

I expect the Bills to be really stupid in this game.

It's the first game where Allen knows it's all about him. He fuels this thing. Things don't go perfect and he's going to press. His accuracy will start going off and he'll force things. It's his history and that was before he lost a ton of talent and had to carry this thing himself.

I’m going to need one of your KU March Madness breakdowns of our upcoming match with the Bills.

Is 40 year old Von Miller the only player or coach on their roster who has ever experienced winning a conference championship or earned 1st Team All Pro honors?

Real quick recap here:

Andy Reid: 3x SB Champion. Has coached in five Super Bowls and TWELVE conference championship games!

Steve Spagnuolo: 4x SB Champion. Coached in 6 Conference Championship games. Widely considered most accomplished D coordinator ever.

Mahomes: 3x SB Champ. 7 conference championship games. 2 x 1st team all pro.

Kelce. 3x SB Champ. 7 conference championship games. 4 x 1st team all pro.

Thuney: 4x SB Champ. 8 conference championship games. 2 x first team all pro.

Humphrey: 2x SB champ. 1x 1st team all pro.

DHop. 3x 1st team all pro.

Chris Jones: 3x SB Champ. 7 conference championship games. 3x 1st team all pro.

Trent McDuffie. 2x SB Champ. 2 conference title games. 1x 1st Team All Pro.

Throw the ball out there in Arrowhead and LFG! Settle this on the field!
