It's makes looking at ends in the draft weird, if a dude is 255 super bendy and quick off the edge, Spags won't like him. If the guy is 265 plays with power and only has a bullrush Spags likes him. |

We can definitely play this guy next week and let him knock the rust off provided he's ready to go.
|
He gave the guy that shoveled his driveway a signed jersey. Pretty funny.

Watson will be coming back like Stone Cold saving the day. |
I’m not sure we even need him to beat Houston.
Then we get a beat up Buffalo or Baltimore in the Championship game. |

DHop, Hunt, Hollywood, and Humphries all achieve what they couldn't before or always wanted. Or like my religion teacher once told me: "If you can't beat 'em - joint 'em. Breathe in deep and then just let it go..." |
WE do need Watson to get some reps in before the AFCCG
|
The practice reports will tell the story. He's had two of three practices already and Andy says he's moving around well and doing one on one drills in pads. Worthy, Hop and Hollywood will no doubt be putting him through a stern test out there so hopefully he holds up well. If he gets in two full practices next week then he'll hopefully suit up next game.

Gotta be trolling Andy has said he's looked good in practice.
My guess is he's playing this weekend |
Problem #1: You read one of Clay's posts
Problem #2: You believed Clay's post |

If Andy is sayin "he's looking really good" he's playing. I can't believe after this season and all the injuries we've had that outside of Rice, we're going into this game as locked and loaded as we could be. |
Do we need him Saturday since Diontae Johnson is out?
|
We need him to knock the rust off.

The Pacheco injury was a blessing in disguise, because we likely wouldn’t have Hunt otherwise. Now, we have both. |
Yeah I would hate for his first live game action in three months to be the AFC Championship game which ultimately may crown the Super Bowl winner.
Let him get out there and get a feel for playoff speed again in a contest where a big mistake may not even matter to the outcome. |
Hindsight but man did we catch a break not flipping picks for Lattimore. Watson came back when it mattered and Lattimore has either been injured or getting his ass kicked since becoming a Skin.
Man I love Watson. The type of role player who makes the key difference in those critical playoff games. |

Dude hasn't played a down and while the defense took a massive step back, overall it didn't end up costing us any games, just some yards and a few TD's here and there. Williams actually played pretty well once he was put in place of Johnson. So this defense SHOULD be prime ASF for the AFCCG. |
Andy said Watson will play but admits he likely can't play the full game.
Good enough for me! Be ready to shut someone down in the AFC Championship game! |

Its a month until the super bowl. If he can adequately get his toes wet this week and work a little more next week I think he could be nearly full go by the super bowl. Pacheco came back earlier than expected and pretty much was himself from the get go. DB is a different animal I know but it makes me optimistic that we can be almost full tilt.

If the Chiefs lose Saturday, it will be the most disappointing piss of an effort in the Reid/Mahomes era. It’s not happening. Belief in the KC Chief! |
Quote:

Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, Winchester and probably more. Going to a seventh consecutive AFCCG is a bigger obstacle than the Texans as a team
|
Wait, I was told we just watch and root for the team play football... does our arrogance or lack there or actual effect the game?
|
Guys, UChieffy is right. Tom Brady still had a good handful of seasons where he didn’t make the AFCC. Mahomes can’t possibly make it there every year of his career.
Wait, can he? I mean, I’ve never seen him NOT do it. Evidence would seem to point to him doing it. We’re not taking a small sample size here. We’ve got six freakin seasons of data here, and that seems to be the trending conclusion. He’s gonna do it, isn’t he? |
Quote:
And if you get so hyped up that you'll have a meltdown if they're not up 21-0 after the first quarter, that's also on you. After the Bucs SB, I don't take any games for granted, but yeah a loss this weekend would be pretty ****ing surprising. |
Quote:
This is the time that Mahomes/Reid/Spags and the rest of the offense and defense tend to step up. Plus they have plenty of time to prepare for this game. I don’t see the Texans beating KC as much as KC would have to lose the game, similar to the Chargers last week. |
Get him in the game slowly on a limited count. We don't need him all game to win. Texans are over matched this go around.
|
Is it normal to be able to recover this quickly from a fractured freaking ankle? This just seems nuts to me, especially for a corner.
This team is just built so different. Every player on this roster wants to be the field at all costs. It's just amazing to witness. |

This was a pretty doable recovery. What was weird was the presumption that he was done for the season when there was still 12+ weeks left in the year. Good on him for putting the work in, but a professional athlete in his mid-20s should've been able to make it back by the postseason. |
Quote:
McDuffie can hammer him in the slot, but out wide and deeper down the field, he can use his size to make life difficult for Trent. But I think he'd really struggle with Watson. And if you take Collins out of the game, Houston will struggle to put up 13. |
