He's the rich mans version of Matt Cassel

You should see third down. If he rolls right he might have run for a first down. Would have at least bought him a few more seconds. Instead he just slid up in the pocket right into the teeth of the pass rush

Considering that with Alex Smith at QB along with Fournette & a dominating defense the Jags could be a Super Bowl team.

I think their first round pick would be a great trade for both.

Early snap, Alex is pressured because Schwartz guy comes through due to Schwartz not knowing the ball was snapped.

How is this not completely on Alex? The play is sent and the QB tells the offense in the huddle what the snap count is.

There was obviously confusion somewhere

Yep, even Alex freaked to see the ball in his stomach.

Couple 2nds from Cleveland would be handy too.

exactly

or

cle could trade their 1st down, give us a 1st and keep the rest and still easily beat JAX's pick

#97 the lineman played it perfectly. He sidestepped left to present an open lane and waited for Smith to take the bait. Great play call and execution.

Is this a joke? You do realize that if he rolls right there's 20 miles of real estate, right?

Another braindead post from the braindead poster. I can already tell you're the village idiot around here. The difference between you and me is I'll talk smack to your face, instead of behind your back, you gutless pussy.

Ragged Robin 01-07-2018 04:33 PM

Rolling right to buy more time would have been a better option but he saw seven drop in man coverage and didn't see the spy behind his linemen. Plain and simple.

The bigger question is that on 4th down, why is the only viable route option against cover 2 a low percentage post 30 yards down field?

I know Kemp is right beside Wilson. And Robinson(?) is out to the left side I assume. 4th and 9, and the middle of the field is wide fricking open. They are conceding the 9 yards. WTF!!! Audible Alex, Audible!!!

I'm sorry logic enrages you.

You and me both agree it is a mistake....You believe he 'cashed in' and got paid off ..to make that call in a game we were up by 18 points and threw in the garbage 100 other ways than one call early on in the game

Youre saying he knew THAT play would turn the tide enough.....

All I am saying is that I give people the benefit of the doubt..Until theres some evidence of misdoing, I just think it was a mistake...like plenty of other mistakes....its not like they didnt help the titans at all either at times....

If we even get ONE good drive going or make that FG from the turnover in the second half...we win that game.

So you basically are raging because I'm not willing to just accept your theory that this official is paid off by the mob or whatever....

that happened in the SECOND quarter

keep making excuses as to why we lost...

we were up 21-3 in the 3rd Q

It was a terrible call, I agree..but think about it.....AFTER the call, we were still up 21-3....

thats still beating the spread

kcpasco 01-07-2018 06:10 PM

That call sucked but it’s not the reason the Chiefs lost. A combo of Andy Alex Sutton and the defense going full reerun is why they lost. I’d just like for once in a playoff game to not have some of this weird shit happen that usually does against us.

Forget rolling out, just step up in the pocket and keep your eyes downfield. The pocket was perfectly clean - he just shit his pants and pulled the ball down immediately. That's going to be the #1 difference with Mahomes - he's always looking downfield to make a play, and doesn't get rattled by phantom pressure.

I'm glad we agree that the call was bad, and the "forward progress" card played along with the bad call suggests a cover-up of something by Triplette's crew. So nobody cares who dropped a pass, it's irrelevant in the context of that play or the 2 point conversion play.

I'm not OK with saying that unless Triplette comes out and admits that he was making calls favorable to the Tits that he wasn't.

TigeRRUppeRRcut 01-07-2018 07:39 PM

In 7 postseason games Smith has:
15 total TD's to 2 INT's.
280 total yards of offense/game
QB rating of 97.4

If you can't win with a QB giving you that production you're ****ing up as a coach

Triplette let the "fumble" by Henry stand. If he was looking to give the Titans an advantage he wouldn't have ruled that a fumble, or would have blown the whistle to negate the return. He also would have called the Kelce hit a fumble.

There were plenty of ways his terrible officiating could have screwed the Titans as well.

All 3 games they lost a key offensive player to injury.

Mahomes didn't have Kelce (or Hill).

Mahomes is the last QB to have a kicker make a fg, and throw an int.

kcpasco 01-07-2018 08:37 PM

So glad Alex didn’t throw a pick yesterday. The 3 and out offense is so much safer.

Chiefs planet fandom was never with Alex Smith. I'm not sure the general fan base is on the same page. We'll see what Andy does. 20 million is a lot of money. If he feels Mahomes is close or better, he'll pull the trigger on a trade.

Seriously, dude? I've been pretty low key about Smith and his limitations over the years, but I see he'll never be the man. I've even been tolerant of your constant knob-slobbering of Smith. Listen sonny, I've been a die-hard fan of this team for more years than you are old, so I think I've earned the right to say let's move on.

Almost as bad as that shitty ****ing QB that was playing yesterday. You know, that same pathetic piece of shit that's in your avatar and will never accomplish anything in this league.
