I don't view Green as a game manager. He made throws to win games and he didn't have to be on a leash.

I'm not getting into a debate I'm just saying. I'm not gona listen to people knock him

Fabio has got this

Butt-chin is garbage.

I wouldn't call Green a game manager, but nothing about his game was all that spectacular. He was basically the Matt Schaub of that era.

I would take Trent with this team all day. He wasn't elite but he did really well with mediocre WRs
|
Yeeeeeeaaaaassss; I would MUCH rather have Green than Favre, Rodgers, (insert your favorite here)/ said NO ONE EVAR. Selective memory runneth wild here; stop the madness.

Trent's my Alltime favorite Chief. I was a fan of his when he was in STL.
Guy was flinging it a ridiculous clip before that POS Harrison took him out. |

Bray Wisdom of the Day:
On the seventh day, God asked Tyler Bray for permission to rest. Bray did God a solid, and the rest...is history. Posted via Mobile Device |

However, I have said numerous times that Brett Favre is one of the most overrated QBs ever, and yes, I would rather have Trent Green than that dumbass. |

I absolutely agree with this post, however. But I tend to credit Holmgren for that, however. I believe that Reid is overrated. |
Well we will see how good Reid is
|
Quote:
Who I think were overrated-McNabb, Feeley, Kolb, Vick. I don't think any of them were really good. I think Reid made 'em look good. But we'll see if you're correct or I am pretty quick. |

I worry about beyond that ... it seems like many of these guys do worse as they get more power. Reid is now basically part GM, part HC |

Pray 4 Bray.

Since I simply hate talking about Smith or Green, I'll just say this and be done: if Smith DOESN'T become a better QB than Green or Gannon, this whole trade was completely ****ing useless, and could at BEST be classified as "treading water". And considering that Cassel was the equivalent of drowning puppies and kittens in a burlap bag, is that classification good enough? Now; more Bray, less of these other ****ing assholes please...

Don't need to overreact to twitter. I'm sure he is studying.

So he took a study break to watch Walk the Line? So what, at least he's in watching a movie opposed to being out on the streets throwing beer bottles at cars again.
|
C'mon Bray; take a shot of cocaine and shoot that bad bitch down!

I think people underestimate and undervalue that fact. They want a sexy QB with a huge arm, but that might not be the perfect QB for Reid's system (and it isn't, really). The perfect QB for Reid's offensive philosophy is someone who is, first of all, extremely cerebral/intelligent, and secondly, extremely accurate over short and intermediate ranges. Alex Smith is about as near as perfect of a QB as you can find (OK, Manning, Brady, Brees...but they aren't available) to run that offense. I don't think Reid and Dorsey were kidding when they thought that ASmith could be a Hall of Fame QB. In Reid's particular system, he's about as perfect of a QB as you are going to find. I was initially bummed about getting ASmith--and bummed about the price we paid for him, but when I look at Smith's strengths and how they fit into what Andy is wanting to install in KC, I am now very happy with the move. Once you get past the initial knee-jerk "OMG another ****ing 49er castoff," you will have reason to be pretty excited about ASmith. You get the right QB for the right system and you have the foundation for a dynasty. |
A Bray Dynasty. And right soon.

Oh, and FWIW, if ASmith is indeed the perfect QB for Reid's system, and he can prove it on the field, then I have no problem at all giving him a contract like Cassel had while he was here. |
*sigh* I keep coming to this thread thinking there is news about our QBOTF and instead I keep seeing the names of 2 of the last quarterbacks in the world I want to hear about.

Bray waits for more chances
Perhaps deferring to the veteran, the Chiefs are using Ricky Stanzi as their third quarterback while rookie Tyler Bray is getting few snaps as the fourth quarterback. Hard to say if that will change any time soon, but Bray has better ability to make all the necessary throws than Stanzi does. While the Chiefs — with Smith as their starter and Chase Daniel as the top reserve — need to be in no hurry to develop Bray, he has already displayed enough skills to earn more work. |
