Actually, I don't find holding guns to people's heads funny in the slightest. I don't care who they are or how 'funny' it's SUPPOSED to be.

You can put any person you think I 'hate' on this picture and it still will be tasteless and unhumorous in my view. It has to do with horror of the actual picture and the making light of political anarchy that contributed to someone's death and likewise acting like the public execution of Greg Robinson is somehow a worthwhile cause simply because of a football scheme gone bad...

It has nothing to do with a sense of humor and everything to do with proper historical political context...

The Yassir and Osama ones ARE funny...

they are not distortions of someone's impending death or immediate suffering.

It's not PC...it's common sense. Outside of this twisted and depressed and angry board not many people would find humor in this. Perhaps after the sting wears off and the realization that Greg Robinson is not the anti-Christ sets in many here won't find it funny either...

No I'm pretty sure I will be laughing at those pictures come 2010. But hey, that's me, I actually understand humor.

Believe it or not, Robinson has supporters on the Chiefs. Perhaps they will find it hysterical. Maybe DV will bust a gut and get a good cry over this...Maybe even Robinson's kids might receive it sent to them in a 'funny' emailed story. You just never know who will see this and find it 'hysterical.' :rolleyes:

I honestly think that the headsnap photo in post #59 is the funniest thing I've ever seen on the Planet.

I laughed my head off, and actually had to think about why it was so funny. Intellectually speaking, it's got practically every element of humor in it: it's shocking, it speaks to our trauma as Chiefs fans, it's visually well executed, it paints Robinson just as many of us see him (helpless, dazed, and confused), and he's got the same expression as the boy on the left. Plus, it's juxtaposed on a picture that's so serious and negative that you just know you shouldn't laugh, which makes it all the funnier. It even helps that the thread produced indignant complaints.

I'm afraid that it's the moon shot of chiefsplanet humor. In a one-time effort, we went above and beyond what our humor technology should have allowed. It may be years, even decades, before we approach that level of humor again, much less surpass it.
