Stafford to the Vikes?!? Darnold’s lookin sharp lately but Stafford’s proven. Crazy.

Cooper? Sure. Is he healthy now, at least? Can we get away with offering our 3rd, that could become the TEN 3rd or our 2nd depending on his playtime the rest of the year? Mix Sky Moore in there and a late pick swap, maybe Robinson too if they’re game? Kupp, when/if healthy, would be an absolute monster in KC. Kupp, Rice, Brown, & Worthy as next year’s WR core is very very solid.

I would really like to know how LV sets the odds for these things, because they are rarely correct, at least when it comes to KC it seems. But I just saw some article where LV has KC as +200 to acquire Kupp at the moment.

Personally, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Regardless of whether we spend or don’t spend we’re due for a reset in a few years. Not a rebuild, just 1 season where you clean up your cap, gut some of your vets and stockpile draft picks. I think people are scared because teams like buffalo and the chargers did this for years and years and years. The chiefs on the other hand have been relatively passive for a contender. It’s not going to break us to make a big move or 2.

If we traded for Kupp, 3-peat, and then head into 2025 season with Rice, Kupp and Worthy...lol...just freaking wreck the rest of the league.

Sure but are they incorrect here? I wouldn't be surprised to see the Chiefs are the betting favorites.

I lean that way too. But I also feel like he was horribly mismanaged. The rams couldn’t wait to bring him in and abuse him as soon as he was even remotely healthy. Because they rely on him so much. We’ve seen with our history with Toney and Watkins that we don’t work that way. I do really wonder if what he needs is just a team that can moderate his usage. Give him a true recovery timeline. Because the thing about kupp is, if he stays healthy, he has the kind of skill set that can easily be effective into his 30s because his talent isnt from raw athletic talent.

Yah, pretty much. And some of our vets are going to retire/leave anyway in the next two-three years, like Travis/CJ etc. Several of those salaries are coming off the books sooner rather than later, no? Meanwhile, the cap is going to go up. What seems like a lot of $$$ right now is going to be league average in just a few years.

I’d give them the titans 2nd. That should outbid everyone. We need help badly. I don’t want to lose a 3peat due to not giving up that 2nd.

I grow more convinced by the day we don’t sign a big name WR before the deadline (barring another significant injury). In fact, if anything, they might sign someone from the other side of the ball.

5 ankle injuries in 2 years is well past the point of pencilling someone in as injury prone. It would make absolutely no sense to give up anything of value for Cooper Kupp. Make a move for Johnson, Slayton, or Kirk.
