Option 3: Hopkins Trade = Pick + Absorb his $20m Contact

I like all three options, can't miss! Let's go!

You'll get Cornell Powell and a draft pick and you'll like it.

Fixed it. I think our first two rounds will go receiver/EDGE, or vice versa.

Hopkins seems the most logical choice right now, especially if you can get him for a 4 and 6 and he doesn't demand more money. I'm a fan of Thielen and would take it, but he just doesn't have the wheels anymore. I was on the Chark bandwagon, but Pest pointed out we already have him with MVS. Brandin Cooks would be fun to watch in this offense. All the rest of the FA guys are a solid "meh" to me.

Hopkins and a Trey Flowers type would get me all tingly.

Trade for Hopkins. Draft Tyler Scott.

O.city 03-17-2023 10:14 AM

If they traded for Hopkins, I'd not draft one til the 4th or later.

They need more talent infusion on the DL IMO.

Disagree. An impact rook to go with Hopkins would be the route to go, otherwise just roll with Justyn Ross and Cornell Powell. I say that knowing there are always hidden gems to be found in the mid to late rounds, and Veach has shown the ability to find them, but this WR corps needs as much talent infusion as the defensive line does.

You look at the list of remaining F/A WR's and we're getting real close to the point where we're simply better off starting Skyy Moore.

We are almost certainly going to sign *someone* before the draft.

Campbell and Slayton are off the board. Chark is visiting the Panthers tomorrow.

- OBJ?
- Trade for Hopkins?
- Trade for Brandin Cooks?
- Adam Thielen?
- Mecole Hardman?
- Mack Hollins?
- Jarvis Landry?
- Nelson Agholor?

Would a 2 & a 5 be too much to give the Texans?

Why do that for Cooks when you can just do that for Hopkins. Contractually they're pretty similar too.

Yes.

That Cooks contract is not something I'd trade for. I'd seriously rather spend hat to hey Hopkins.

Which may be a sign of what the team thinks about Skyy Moore and his readiness for a major role.

Both those guys may come in well under the number you listed and the Chiefs still may not be interested.

I dont think they wanna pay OBJ 10+ let alone 15.

Here's where we're at now:

Jakobi Meyers, Patriots (sigmed by Raiders for 3 years, $33 million)

Parris Campbell, Colts (signed by Giants for 1 year, $3 million)
Adam Thielen, Vikings
Mecole Hardman, Chiefs
Richie James, Giants
Julio Jones, Buccaneers
Marvin Jones Jr., Jaguars
Demarcus Robinson, Ravens
DeAndre Carter, Chargers
Mack Hollins, Raiders
Jarvis Landry, Saints
Odell Beckham Jr., street
Robert Woods, Titans (signed by Texans for 2 years, $15.25 million)
Darius Slayton, Giants (re-signed for 2 years, $12 million)
Trent Sherfield, Dolphins
Byron Pringle, Bears
Chris Moore, Texans
Nelson Agholor, Patriots
Isaiah McKenzie, Bills

DJ Chark would fit our trend of affordable depth signings of young players with low floors and quality upside, he'd be very similar to the JuJu signing and come for less than $10m
