There is no way this is possible for me.

I don't hate Romeo, we knew exactly what he was before hiring him.

Did he ever blow a 28 point lead in a playoff game in Philly? I doubt it

He blew plenty of games in Philly.

4 straight NFC Championship games and a SB appearance and he sucks.

JFC I wonder what qualifies as a good coach these days.

Yeah he's a good offensive coach and all his success came when Jim Johnson was his DC.

Sutton has a ton of experience, but can a old dog learn new tricks? He had eight weeks to adjust. Rotate players and double teams never happened when needed. Totally baffling for a coach with that much experience.

Thing is yesterday when they doubled Hilton a couple of times, it worked. Not to do that more often, or the whole way for that matter, was beyond any rational thinking I can come up with.

Several posters, myself included, tried to tell you that the major factor for the Chiefs stellar road record was due to the QB's they faced on the road vs home. It's all there in another thread. You made light of the fact and actually included "should have's" in your take.

We should have beat Rivers twice, if you dont agree fine dude.

Its obvious the defense lost the game yesterday, I have multiple times stated I was more concerned about the defense than Alex Smith, but hey I am ****ing clueless because you want to bitch about one conversation involving the fact we had more road wins than home wins.

Guess what, we SHOULD HAVE ****ing won yesterday too.

And THAT'S exactly what he needs now. Sutton is not that guy.

Sutton has to be fired or we as chiefs fans have to do our part, pull together and lynch him. What he did was cost us that game at halftime. When your team is up by 3 tds at half it's your job as a coach to pull the defense together and let them know it's time to turn up the heat. They didn't do their job because he didn't do his, he's got to go.

are those players really THAT dense.

I mean, even by football player standards, you shouldn't have to be told to keep putting forth the effort...right??

Kind of like BB and Crennel.

Find a DC and move on.

Doesn't make him a shit coach dude.

Recent trend suggest otherwise. He missed the playoffs the last few seasons in Philly with a dream team and went 2-6 the last half of the season including blowing a 28 point lead. That's good coaching?

Mav 01-05-2014 01:38 PM

I guess where I am, is I really am having a HARD TIME blaming the Coaches.

Except for the inexplicable misuse of timeouts in the second half. 4th and 11 at the 2 min warning, AND OUT OF THE TWO MINUTE, YOU USE YOUR FINAL TIME OUT? That to me is mind bottling.

But, when I look at it. I realize how poorly some players played.

no, not lewis. That is to be EXPECTED.

But, Berry? Dj? Seriously?

I have a really hard time putting as much blame on Sutton.

These guys were in positions to make plays, and DIDNT.

How many tackles did Eric Berry miss yesterday?

it does if he doesn't fire Sutton. otherwise, he's a great coordinator posing as a HC.

ILChief 01-05-2014 01:39 PM

Maybe Sutton will "retire"

the thing is the red flags were there that Fat Scott was a fraud. Todd Haley was a golfer, Matt Castle and his contract were terrible, Romeo was a failure at HC, etc. It was obvious those guys werent going to win shit.

Andy Reid can win, Alex Smith has proven he can win. Those guys have proven they know what they are doing. John Dorsey spent money and brought in players. People bought in. Bob Sutton just spent 6 months of the year looking like a confused puppy dog with the inability to make no changes throughout the season. Went in every game the exact same and you knew the outcomes pending the other teams offense/QB before they even started.

It's predictable, I can tell you what teams can beat Bob Sutton and what teams can't. Until he proves otherwise, which he probably won't.

Well man you hope they aren't that dense but look at the guys we're talking about. I don't think any of them are exactly geniuses, we're talking about a group of guys who have to be told what to do on a daily basis. Most of them wouldn't have common sense enough to come in out of the rain without someone telling them too. I'm not sure Kendrick Lewis can tie his shoes or feed himself.

Maybe he was talking about the kitchen staff.
