On a side note...I just saw a commercial with Shannon Dogherty (sp?) and that bitch is awful looking nowadays.

Her teeth look like they are made of wood that never got sealed and are straight grey now...she has lots of extra weight and she looks like she hasn't slept in awhile.

I am not sure 3rd string QBs even get a chance to show one way or the other in practice. They get nearly zero snaps at all. I don't think he would have been able to either impress or turn off the coaches in practice. That would have happened in OTA's, which didn't exist obviously.

I didn't watch him at Iowa. My "like" of him comes in large part from my dislike of the other options. I'm all in for drafting a QB. That being said I did really like what I saw in preseason. Just the mechanics ect. I do know for sure Palko is terrible and Matt is not a starter. For those reasons alone I would be for him getting a shot. Don't ignore QB in the draft because of Stanzi, but don't stick Cassel in there just to try and win 9 games with no chance of a playoff run. I want to see a SB. Maybe it doesn't happen with Stanzi, but taking a chance is better than going with something that has proven itself impossible. Then next year you know for sure what you have in your backups and what you need to go get.

Keeping Cassel in all year lends us no knowledge of what we could possibly have, whether that be nothing or a glimmer of hope.

Did anyone hear the guy call in after Pearson made these comments? The guy, no joke, asked what New England was thinking by getting rid of Cassel. There was this awkward pause where they were all thinking they were getting trolled.

I think the harsh reality we all have to accept is even though a lot of us would like to see what Stanzi has because we know Cassel stinks, it wouldn't exactly be breaking news if a 5th round 2nd year QB isn't all that good. So I'm not going to get all bent out of shape if he doesn't pan out.
