Eric Berry would be limping out of the hospital in full pads if this was tecmo

You've completely missed the point. Brian Dawkins never had to cover a TE because he was a FS. in college, Eric Berry played FREE SAFETY. So what do our reeruned coaches do? Exactly. No, Eric Berry can't cover TEs. But more importantly NOBODY SHOULD BE ASKING HIM TO. |

Cassell will be starting a game around midseason due to Reid's predictable schemes and play calling that allows defenses to tee off on quarterbacks. It's that simple. The offensive line has little to do with it.
|
Lol what an idiot thinking Berry can't play FS. Hell coming out he was labeled by everyone with knowledge of football that he was a Fs(which he played in college) that could play SS or even CB.

anyone ever remember Madden, say around 2000-2001.....when you'd try to juke too much while running hard, and your dude would grab his hammy while this sound effect resembling a Drop D slide down from the 7th fret to 1st fret on full distortion in the AMP that used to bust me up. |

However you feel about Reid, and I think each side has its merits, at least in NFL terms the guy can walk and chew gum at the same time. He shouldn't be a perpetuation of the shit-show we've had going on at HC since Captain Teardrop retired.
|
You have until noon tomorrow to get this shit done Clark. We're getting tired of the waiting game.
|
Sorry for anyone who disagrees with the merge. I hated to merge them since they were really two separate initial topics, but the discussion became very general in both to the point that it was causing confusion about where the conversation would take place.
Don't hate me. |
Dat merge

Anybody think we drop Bowe and go after Wallace? Seems to fit Reid's speedier offense better.

WRs have always been a big weakness of Reids.

Can we kick LA Chieffan out of this thread before he turns it into a Blackbob fest?

Andy Reid's scheduled interview Friday w Cardinals has been cancelled as he continues talks with Chiefs. AZ source: "He's out with us." |

:) Just kidding, bud. But, a guy has to give Clark credit for going way out of his way to get the debatable best option available on the market. I look at Reid as something similar to Schottenheimer, only better in the post-season. If he can pick up a great DC (Andy's weakness), then I really like the future of this franchise. |
FAX, can you go into the brake-line thread and solve the disagreement?

Anyways, I hope Clark doesnt give him any personnel control because this guys draft record makes Pioli look like a draft ****ing grand wizard.
Of course you know thats exactly why Reid wants to come here, so he can have full autonomy |
Eric Edholm @Eric_Edholm
Marty Mornhinweg will not follow Andy Reid to Kansas City, or anywhere. Looking for an offensive coordinator job elsewhere. #Chiefs |

At first it sounded like we were "getting the band back together".
Wait... |
John Clayton says its close just not done yet. Its just a matter of time. His guess is tomorrow when its done totally
|
John Clayton said he expects the deal to be signed by tomorrow. Deal not done yet, but close. On why KC, he said KC gave him everything he wanted. Good money, complete control of personnel. Clark Hunt flew to Philly and met all of Reid's wants in order for him to cancel all other visits/flights. Then they immediately started working on the contract.
Nothing new but interesting none the less. Just had him on Sportscenter. |
Quote from Eagles Forum:
"We've grown so tired of what he offers as a coach, but to outsiders, he's the "winningest coach in franchise history" with lots of success and a proven track record. It's like having a hot female co-worker or friend that because you've known them so long, you know that their personality takes the hotness down significantly. To everyone else, they look like a solid 8 or 9, to you, with everything factored in, they look like a -8." |

I compare it a lot to the Tom Davis situation at the University of Iowa (basketball). At the end, fans HATED him. Even though he made the NCAA Tourney 9 of 13 seasons, he was basically forced out after losing in the Sweet 16. Iowa fans were SO TIRED of the same thing over and over. They/We wanted a new head coach...A younger, hungrier, sexy hire. And we got it in the name of Steve Alford. Iowa basketball hasn't been the same since. Finally 12 years later, the team is starting to come around. This is the extreme case, but Eagles fans are playing with fire IMO. |
Heres a fun one:
"He is NOT the answer. Are you a big fan of passing on 3rd and short or 4th and short? He is. Are you happy with no-name/no-talent linebackers. He is. Do you like to stick to the plan no matter how things are going in the game? He does. When your team is struggling with the opponets, do you want your coach to devise some brilliant and novel strategies on the spur of the moment to win you the game? He won't. Do you want a brilliant clock manager? He isn't. Do you want someone who gives freedom to the players on the field or do you want a micromanager who keeps the offense plodding along even when it's hurry-up time? He is the latter. Andy Reid is the Grim Reaper and we don't want him here. This is my worst nightmare. I was so hoping he would end up in San Diego so he could keep them down for a few years. He should have been fired five years ago. I would have loved to have seen some time with Donovan McNabb in his prime with a different head coach/offensive game plan. I think he could have been awesome. Andy Reid looks good when his players win the game because they are better players. When you need gameday coaching and on-the-fly strategy, especially in the 4th quarter, Andy will fail. If the Chiefs have any success in the next few years, it will be because the drafts are great and the coordinators can do their jobs. I have no confidence in Andy" |
If you are looking for good things about Reid, don't ask Eagles fans. This town grew to hate him for the most part.

I find it incredibly difficult to believe people in Philadelphia would be angry about something.

Well Andy Reid is a major upgrade for us going back to probably Grandpa Dick. Yes the Eagle fans do sound like us when at the end of Marty's reign. My guess is in about five years they wish they had Reid back or at least appreciate his years a lot better.
We have been stuck with Herm, Haley and RAC... it has been very tough here in KC. |
Eagles fans feel the same way that Chiefs fans felt about Marty. After a few years they will be kicking themselves like a lot of chiefs fans did.
|
Marty can eat a dick
