So are they doing the rematch? That's what I keep hearing. I would rather see Edgar fight Mcgregor.

Aldo and Mcgregor both won. They made a few million dollars. Who lost?
Us. |

We won't know anything at all until RDA and Cowboy fights. If Cowboy becomes the lightweight champion, a hell of a lot of people think Conor will fight Cowboy at 155, because thats a fight he can really sell and make bank on. RDA is not nearly as compelling a draw as Cerrone. If RDA wins, then Edgar makes more sense. Conor's coach was hinting that Conor is thinking about 155 in New York on April, then Edgar at UFC 200 in July. |

I honestly feel like Frankie would be one of the few people impervious to Connor's talk. That dude is such a machine and on top of that he's been to such wars, he literally gives zero ****s.
Werdum has signed an 8-fight deal with the UFC for "7 figures". I hope the first number in those 7 figures is at least a 6.
Ronda is not changing her plans. She's going to shoot two movies in the next 6 months, and then she's going to fight Holm in July at UFC 200.
She needs a full year without distractions and better coaching. She's probably only going to train a few months with tons of distractions and the same crappy coach. |
Nate Diaz wanted to be on the poster, so he drew a self portrait next to Cowboy's head.

The UFC is going to use a 3-man team tomorrow night. Dominick Cruz (who will be fighting Dillashaw for the Bantamweight Championship next month) will join Rogan and Goldberg for the fight commentary. Not sure if it will be just for the main event, or the whole card.

Which do you think would draw more dollars? Rousey fighting Holm to get her belt back or Rousey fighting Tate for the 3rd time to get her belt back? When she gets done with her movies she'll get a title shot no matter who the champ is and Holm might lose to Tate. It's bullshit, but it's all about the Benjamins. |

Charles Oliveira missed weight by a whopping 4.5 pounds. He was reportedly off by 5 pounds this morning, so he was only able to cut a half pound today.
He probably needs to move up to 155. That fight against Myles Jury will proceed at a catchweight and Oliveira will give 20% of his purse to his opponent. Everyone else made weight, RDA and Cowboy both weighed in a half pound under the limit. |

Some marketable fighters will get PPV spots and title shots faster than other unremarkable fighters, and popular champions will get rematches quicker than other champions, but at least in the UFC if you just keep winning you can be undeniable at some point.
RDA looked smaller at weigh-ins today. We'll see how he looks tomorrow. Aldo looked different last week. The new testing rules are changing the sport before our eyes. It also brings to light how big of a problem PEDs are in MMA. I hope Cowboy does knock the bolts off his neck.

The organization which is in charge of the unified rules of MMA is going to consider a major change to the weight classes. Nothing will be decided until August at the earliest.
The proposal is to add many new weight classes and have: 115, 125, 135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 185, 195, 205, 225, 265 (heavyweight), and super heavyweight. The UFC and other promoters are not obligated to use every division, but if this passed the UFC would have to make at least one change since the 170 pound division would no longer exist. They'd have to at least move 170 down to 165 or up to 175. If we wanted to keep the same number of divisions, then after lightweight I'd go 175, 195, 225, 265. Slowly introduce new classes between those numbers as the talent pool justifies it. |

Cole Miller is still at it?
That guy should retire |
Not sure if any of you guys are watching the fightpass prelims, but Dominick Cruz has been a fantastic addition to the booth with Rogan and Goldberg so far. He's going to be good on the air tonight.

Not sure what happened to Cruz. Maybe he's not calling anything for FS1
There's a lot of money on the line for the UFC tonight. If Cowboy wins, they would sell a TON of PPV's putting him up against McGregor.
I have a feeling the first fight is gonna be over quickly with the Polish chick winning
She's definitely the better striker, and still seems fresh. If it gets to round 3, I think Markos will get lit up.
Hope Diaz gets his head caved in~
Great round
This is gonna be a good fight
A fight with one of the Diaz brothers is always entertaining.
Nate is going to knock him out
Holy **** what a round

Fun fight so far
I thought Nate Diaz could win, but I wasn't really expecting this.
This is getting ugly~
Wow. Nate Diaz kicked Michael Johnson's ass
Bush league at the end from Diaz
Diaz fought well and is still a total douchebag~
Hmm. Wonder what he said lol
LMAO
I'm thinking Diaz forgot this was on Fox |
Still want to see Diaz/McGregor. Epic shit talking and antics.

Not my idea, but Ferguson vs Diaz would be an incredible fight. I know Ferguson wants to fight top 5 guys, but it'd be a barn burner for sure.
Overeems physique not what it was pre drug testing changes.. just sayin
Ouch
Just barely hit the cup
Yeah right ROFL |

I'm fine with that stop
Yeah, perfectly fine stoppage
He wasn't gonna get up. His face would have been bashed in
Wasnt at first but after seeing the replay cant complain too much. Shit was putting me to sleep anyways.
In honor of Cowboy, I'm gonna crack open a tall 25oz can of Budweiser for the fight. Only time I ever consume that vile stuff.

Cerrone will win this

Come on Cowboy~

I think dos Anjos wins by decision, but I'm rooting for Cerrone.
I hate Diaz. Wouldn't be upset if someone reeruned him in an alley.
Cowboy is always fun to watch. |
That announcer is an irritating mother****er~
I have no problem with that stop. Herb gave him plenty of time to recover.
That escalated quickly
Well that sucked~
Jesus christ
LOL. What an ass kicking
Didn't expect it to go down in that fashion

Thought he was gonna get out of it when he came to center... |
Southpaws be kicking ass.
Lit him on fire. It'd be great if dos Anjos actually showed a personality on the mic here.
That early finish made RDA a lot of money. Previously, I think people were skeptical about how well a McGregor-RDA superfight would sell, but after he smoked Cowboy like that, I think the UFC would do just fine making that fight.
Maybe a bit early on the stop. Would have like to heard from Cerrone. He didnt take much damage.
Well, I was pulling hard for Cowboy, but any day where a Diaz brother wrecks a top-10 opponent while talking crazy shit is a good day.
