I find it extremely sad.

RIP, brother.

Thankful I had the good fortune of meeting you in person.

Sad indeed. RIP

Sorry to lose a guy like this from our board. I admire his bravery and humor in the face of terrible illness.

We will all lose our charms in the end.

God Speed Patteeu. Hope things are better now that you've broken through to the other side.

With those who had been in the know about his illness posting earlier in the thread I wondered if he was in hospice.

I think Pat would have loved the energy of this thread, and the first pages really are a tribute to his contribution and impact of this forum. RIP threads are unfortunately becoming all too common around here, but I do appreciate that this one had a different, and fun energy that will stand as a remembrance to a titan of a poster in this place.

RIP, Pat.

Just my opinion. Doesn't mean I'm right.

He hasn't posted since the 20th of January.

I admire his handling his sickness with grace. I'm really sad he lost his wife. She was at the tailgate, too.

I just wish I could've been there for him in some fashion.

This feels like when my step dad died.

Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, died seven days later. No funeral, no service..

Just gone.

Bowser 05-01-2021 08:00 AM

Well done, patteeu. RIP

Sigh.

One of his daughters was going to post something after his death so we waited. We gave them their space. Ended up still being too raw so they said go ahead and let people know on the Planet.

He was adamant that he didn't want people to know about the health issues. You have to respect his wishes.

Of course.

Doesn't make it hurt any less.

My prayers go out to the family. I'm sorry for their loss.

Wow. You guys did a great job impersonating his style. I really thought it was him.

Rest In Peace, Patteau. You will be missed.

Now that I read that, it is a little whimsical for patteeu, has the Rain man flair.

Still sad to see my internet friend go. :sulk:

TEX 05-01-2021 08:23 AM

Well played, Sir. RIP patteeu.

Frazod 05-01-2021 09:19 AM

It was a good tribute.

Perhaps he and Logical are sitting on a cloud arguing about the draft and the color of the sky. :D

Hog's Gone Fishin 05-01-2021 09:42 AM

Damn, this is sad .

My father ,93 , had a stroke two days ago and doesn't have many days left. I'm leaving tomorrow for Fort Smith to say goodbye.

PHOG 05-01-2021 09:49 AM

Oh my. My condolences to the family. RIP
