Sorry to lose a guy like this from our board. I admire his bravery and humor in the face of terrible illness.
We will all lose our charms in the end. God Speed Patteeu. Hope things are better now that you've broken through to the other side. |
With those who had been in the know about his illness posting earlier in the thread I wondered if he was in hospice.
I think Pat would have loved the energy of this thread, and the first pages really are a tribute to his contribution and impact of this forum. RIP threads are unfortunately becoming all too common around here, but I do appreciate that this one had a different, and fun energy that will stand as a remembrance to a titan of a poster in this place. RIP, Pat. |
RIP my guy

He hasn't posted since the 20th of January. I admire his handling his sickness with grace. I'm really sad he lost his wife. She was at the tailgate, too. I just wish I could've been there for him in some fashion. This feels like when my step dad died. Diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer, died seven days later. No funeral, no service.. Just gone. |
Well done, patteeu. RIP

Sigh.

He was adamant that he didn't want people to know about the health issues. You have to respect his wishes. |

Doesn't make it hurt any less. |

Still sad to see my internet friend go. :sulk: |
Well played, Sir. RIP patteeu.

It was a good tribute.
Perhaps he and Logical are sitting on a cloud arguing about the draft and the color of the sky. :D |
Damn, this is sad .
My father ,93 , had a stroke two days ago and doesn't have many days left. I'm leaving tomorrow for Fort Smith to say goodbye. |
Oh my. My condolences to the family. RIP
