The Niners defense is overhyped. Not saying they aren't really good, but they aren't the '85 Bears.
Just look at the Saints game. The Saints offense began the game by scoring TDs on their first four drives. Jared Cook scored the first two TDs. Is Jared Cook better than Kelce? Brees better than Mahomes? Right, if they can shred the Niners D at will, Mahomes and Kelce will be torching them for several TDs. And the Saints lost Cook to a concussion early in the first half. If Cook had stayed in the game, they would've probably scored 50 points on this "1st ranked defense." Kelce is going to feast on these guys. And our OL is far better than the Saints OL, and the Niners never got to Brees. Not once. And our defense is better than the Saints unit. Far better than the laughable Falcons unit that held the Niners to 23 points. I think the Niners will maybe score 3 TDs. They might get another if they resort to another set of trick plays the way they did against the Saints. But overall, they won't be able to stop Kelce, might give up at least two to Hill, and we know what Sammy Watkins does in the playoffs. He only scores TDs. Our OL probably won't give up a single sack. Mostly because we won't have to convert more than a couple 3rd and longs. So Ford won't be on the field, and as we know, their DL doesn't generate very many sacks if Dee isn't on the field. As long as our team plays their game and they don't come out too tight, the Chiefs should win this game going away. |
How have 9ers fans been rationalizing getting beat by the shitty ass Falcons at home in December?

Given some of the slow starts lately, I feel like the Chiefs are due for a fast start. Hopefully they bring it full force!

Injuries. I’d assume the same applies for KC losing to the Colts. |

Man, was I wrong-so wrong! This guy is a student of the game and has a brilliant defensive mind. Who knew? I have been impressed with his work ethic and how he has blended in so well with the other guys. Still being a leader, without making it all about himself. This was a great signing and I will gladly eat crow for any time I have said something bad about him when he kicked our asses. |
If Suggs really does have a good beat on what to look for in order to call out plays... one would think he’s gonna play a lot tomorrow. More than he has to date.
Of course, the other players should be taking these notes from him and be able to diagnose this stuff as well. |

I think the owners want to get the CBA done as quickly as possible, even if it means giving into the 17 game proposal because they see the massive amounts of $$$ waiting for them with the upcoming round of TV/media rights negotiations.

And SF played them in your own house? And got exposed by a 5-9 team that had just one offensive weapon? No wonder you guys are trolling so hard in here. |

Protection doesnt even need to be great. Mahomes is the greatest of all-time at buying time and making plays. Just give him a little room to make throws/escape the pocket and we’ll light these assholes up.
|
Chiefs need to draft a Center next year. We have been weak up the middle since Hudson went to the Faiders.
|
So what do y'all think of the crowd situation? From what I have seen on Twitter, it sounds like the Chiefs have a lot more people in Miami than the Niners. But the ticket allotment is identical for the teams and there is a big chunk of the crowd that is neutral (corporate stuff). I guess the Chiefs fans will have to find a way to buy tickets from the Niners allotment.

What a day tomorrow will be.
A sb win against the annoying alexsexuals and a Shanahan It can’t get any better |

Zach Fulton was a decent C and outstanding value for a 6th rd pick. He was slow, especially at G, but at C he was just a beast and was just fast enough to make it work. I think we’ll be looking at similar players in rd 2. Gotta think that’s #1 on Veach’s list. |

Maybe it is just me, but we seem soft up the middle. And that is a 49er strenth. I think Mahomes will be spending a lot of time outside the pocket on Sunday. |

Tony G is in the Ring of Honor- the Chiefs are his team.
Time to let all the bitterness go towards this guy. He has said nothing but great things about the fans. If we didn't have such a train wreck of a team at the time, he would have retired here. Tony is a Chief for life. |

I mean...KC only put up 13 vs the Colts. And that’s with both starting safeties and starting linebacker missing. |

They had a couple safeties and a LB missing? We had Hill out, Watkins out, Fisher out, Wylie out (those two starting OL), Frank Clark, Xavier Williams, and Chris Jones are injured in that game (three starting DL so we played much of that game with only four available DLs total with no subs); Jones and Williams do not return. And Pat re-injures his ankle in a way that most QBs would've been sidelined. Pat stuck it out, but not only couldn't move around, but he couldn't step into a throw from about mid-way thru the second quarter. The Colts didn't beat the Chiefs; they beat our backups. On the other hand, your whole starting core played the Falcons and lost to one of the worst teams in the league, and your elite defense couldn't cover one guy. One past his prime WR of average speed. |

Starting Safety- Tartt out Starting CB- Sherman out Starting CB- Williams out Starting DT- Jones out Starting DE- Ford out Starting LB - Alexander out Half our “elite defense” didn’t play. I can totally see what you’re saying. |

First of all stop saying D Ford is a lead that’s just stupid. Plus he’s just a third and long specialist; it’s not like he’s a three down guy. Second as stated before we’re talking about the Falcons. A team with the game manager statue For a quarterback, no run game, a crappy offense of line, no defense to speak of, and one over the hill offense of weapon.

At least we played the Colts we had to contend with a real tight end, a real wide receiver, and a couple of real running backs.
|
Quote:

And our defense as bad as it was, held the Colts to just 19 points. So again tell me how did the Falcons with one wide receiver for an offense managed to score 29 points on your defense?
