And while I think the defense has already been markedly improved through Free Agency and trades, I'm happy that this draft class is deep with cornerbacks, safeties and defensive lineman.

Even if Veach hits on a CB, Safety and D Lineman in April, I can still see the first three picks in 2019 being CB, Safety and D Lineman because those positions are that depleted at this point.

Just have to see how things develop. Long way from the 2019 draft at this point.

I really wish they could add a safety atleast in free agency.

Amerson does suck ass.

The Franchise 03-26-2018 12:19 PM

I think Amerson is going to be our new Sean Smith.

Smith was good here....went to the Raiders and now he sucks.
Amerson was good when he was with the Redskins. Went to the Raiders and he sucked.

And possibly/probably Suh.

The Franchise 03-26-2018 02:24 PM

Pushing hard for that money.

RunKC 03-26-2018 02:27 PM

And how are the Rams going to pay all of these guys?

DC.chief 03-26-2018 02:27 PM

Not really sure how they could afford both OBJ and Suh. I read somewhere that they could barely afford Suh.

O.city 03-26-2018 02:28 PM

Give Odell a new deal and a big signing bonus and push it down the road.

UChieffyBugger 03-26-2018 02:28 PM

Fuller most likely plays on the left-hand side. That's where he played at College with good success.

Oh, and somebody tell their GM that Aaron Donald still needs to get PAID!! ROFL

The Rams currently have more than $28 million in cap space and a QB that'll be in his 3rd year on a Rookie Deal.

They have more than $100 million in cap space in 2019.

If they want to sign Suh and pay OBJ, they have plenty of space to do so.

You guys are just used to the Chiefs and John Dorsey's massive cap mishandling.

What's wrong with going All In on one season, then letting guys walk?

Plus, by the time all of those guys are paid, the Cap will be at $210 million or more.

O.city 03-26-2018 03:55 PM

Teams turn over so much in a short time, if you have a chance to do it and win, go for it.

Unless you get a Qb that's willing to take less or just plays at a HOF level, you're gonna have ups and downs anyway.

3 years is an eternity in the NFL.

O.city 03-26-2018 03:55 PM

Plus, why the hell would you pay Gurley, or any RB very much money?

Churn and burn at the RB spot.

Probably, but I'm not even sure I'd wanna pay him that much.

You could play him this year, tag him a year or two and let him walk.

That offense runs through Gurley as it stands now. Unless Goff takes massive strides forward I wouldn't be in such a hurry to let him walk.

Gonna pay him what he's gonna want in a long term deal? As a RB?

nah.

O.city 03-26-2018 03:59 PM

Seriously, why would you ever pay a RB?

Look at the draft and the league, every year. New RB's come in a play well, Old ones get broke.

Sassy Squatch 03-26-2018 04:00 PM

OBJ has stated he's not playing until he's got a new deal, and I believe he's foolish enough to actually follow through on that. I just wouldn't want to throw picks and a huge chunk of money at a guy like that when there are players in house that will command tons of money.

O.city 03-26-2018 04:02 PM

Other than Donald, and maybe the safety, who are they likely to give a long term deal to though?

They probably won't keep Peters unless he turns whatever supposed problems he has around.

The Rams don’t need to worry about Gurley or replacing him until 2020, as this is his fourth season with a fifth year option.

They can let him walk in 2020 and get a 3rd round Comp Pick for him and keep in mind, the Chiefs drafted Hunt in the 3rd and the Saints drafted Kamara in the 3rd.

Good running backs aren’t irreplaceable.

O.city 03-26-2018 04:04 PM

Even if they deem Gurley an irreplaceable part of the offense, you could tag him for a year or two and run the wheels off then let someone else pay him.

O.city 03-26-2018 04:05 PM

Shit changes so fast in the league though fellas. I think we as fans tend to worry to much about shit years away.

Hell, theres people here that are worried that signing Watkins will hurt the CHiefs when they have to sign Mahomes.

I get it, but it's weird

Priest31kc 03-26-2018 04:46 PM

Their LBs & pass rush is still meh, but they still have the draft and their DL & secondary are elite so it might not even matter. Their D is gunna be really good.

Gurley is still gunna be tough to stop, but this is a big year for Goff. McVay and that system made him look better than he really was last year. He was solid and improved from his rookie year which was good, but can he take that next step in his 3rd year and 2nd year in the system? He lost Watkins, who I think opened up alot of things for Kupp & Woods to shine...We'll see.

They're definitely going for it in 2018. NFC is loaded.

RunKC 03-26-2018 04:47 PM

McVay will again copy what Andy Reid does on offense and try to act like he’s amazing.
