There's just no ****ing way that Colon and/or Gio are worse than Getz. They might be "as" bad, but they're not worse, and thus they should be up.

Agreed.

Dayton Moore loves his good ole boys that have play hard and right, though, like Getzy and Frenchy!

Guess we'll find out soon.

Five appearances, 5 IP, 6 K, no R.

Why send Coleman down though? He pitched well here in his limited duty. I'm sure he's one of the few that has options, but DFA Guitterez. Coleman belongs with the big league club

So when does the Brett locker room meltdown take place? You know he's going to go off on these guys. He's not built to lose, nor accept it. I think we lose 5 of 6 in this homestand and he loses it after one of them, not that it will be reported

KCUnited 06-04-2013 04:08 PM

Hopefully, they have a Brett presser before every home game so I can drink every time he name drops someone. It'll be anesthetic for the visual abortion.

Gutierrez is here for the same reason that Getz and Francoeur are.

Side note: Funny Scout board story... someone posted an article from a Rangers fan who suggested the Rangers move Profar in exchange for James Shields.

I, reacting in skepticism, said (paraphrasing): "of course the Royals do that deal if offered (Profar > Myers + Odorizzi + Montgomery, IMO). Hell, if necessary, throw in a half season of Ervin Santana. It will never happen."

And I was told the price was TOO high.

Still chuckling.

But the Royals aren't sane.

The Royals better get a viable backup plan in place because building around Escobar isn't going to work, IMO. Far too low of an OBP to be a consistent offensive player, and he kicks the routine ball far too often.

I was at the game tonight (free tix and free BBQ). There was absolutely no hope of winning even driving into the parking lot.

Quickly down 3-0, it might as well have been 12-0.

The most promising season in a decade, and we are once again an embarrassment of a franchise, a nationwide joke, yet another season over by the beginning of June. I have Cardinal fan friends who dont even pay attention to baseball until August.

Im about ready to forget KC even has a baseball team.

Time to send Moose and Hos to the Minors so they can learn to hit a curve ball. Hos with 1 homer-lol- what a joke. Puig with the Dodgers doubled his total in 2 games. It is time to stop with the Moose ears and Hos bobble heads and face that they are just Not that great of players.

What other team names a part of their stadium (Moose Landing) after an unproven rookie. Has he ever even hit a ball close to there-lol

Send them down together and maybe by next year they will learn to hit- they have seen enough plate appearances to know they are way overmatched. Not even Brett can help them. So long guys hope to see you next year.

Story hot off the AP about that Cleveland Reliever Asshole Chris Perez. I hope they nail him. What a poopstain:

CLEVELAND (AP) -- Drug agents are investigating a narcotics delivery to the home of Cleveland Indians closer Chris Perez, authorities said Wednesday.

Rocky River Police Chief Kelly Stillman said city officers, a regional narcotics unit and postal inspectors were involved in Tuesday's operation to investigate a delivery to the Perez home in the lakeside Cleveland suburb.

No charges have been filed and the matter remains under investigation. A message seeking comment was left for Perez's attorney.

At a news conference Wednesday, the chief said the operation likely originated with a package that appeared suspicious to postal employees. ''They took it from there,'' he said.

Officers with a search warrant took evidence from the Perez house, according to the chief, but the seized items weren't specified.

Whatever was contained in the ''controlled delivery of narcotics'' must be analyzed at the state crime laboratory, according to the chief, who stopped short of speculating what it was.

''Depending on what it was and how much it was, charges will be filed accordingly,'' Stillman said.

Indians general manager Chris Antonetti said in a statement that the team had talked with Perez and was ''gathering additional information.''

Manager Terry Francona, addressing the situation before the Indians' Wednesday afternoon game against the Yankees in New York, said he had reached out to Perez to check on him.

''I spoke to him this morning, called him, just wanted to make sure he was OK,'' he said. ''Out of respect to everybody involved, that's really all I can say.''

The Indians' often-polarizing closer has six saves this season, but is on the disabled list with an injured right shoulder. He and Cleveland fans have gotten on each other's nerves over the last couple years, and he recently deactivated his Twitter account after hearing it from fans following a couple of bad outings.

In previous seasons, Perez has criticized fans for not coming to games, and ownership for not spending money on free agents.

The right-hander was supposed to start throwing again this week. Francona said he wasn't sure if the investigation would affect Perez' injury rehabilitation.

''I don't know. I honestly don't know,'' he said. ''Let's not only go one day at a time, let's go one hour at a time here.''

It really doesn't matter much, because you're basically trying to hide too many bad bats in the lineup. You can do that with one, maybe two, but 5-6 is too many.

Having said that, Hos at 2 and Esky at 9 makes sense -- finally.

KK was railing on Glass with Jack Harry this afternoon. Saying the guy who owns Sporting should buy the Royals.

True, Glass has been total suck as an owner. But I trust KK as far as I can throw his Lasik altered, wife leaving ass.

I'll bet he'd love to stir up the shit, have Sporting buy the Royals so he could get the radio rights away from Entercom. And every time you hear him talk to anybody in authority, whether that's David or Dan Glass, or Clark Hunt, he turns into a softball lobbing kiss ass.

What a douche.

At this point it doesn't matter. Draw the lineup out of a hat. Hosmer looked totally lost at the plate last night. He and Moose both need to spend from now till the All Star Break in either NW Arkansas or Omaha. I'd send them both to Springdale and make them earn their way up to Omaha. This season is toast, so it really doesn't matter. Play Billay at first, Tejada at third for the next six or seven weeks. Who cares?

Butler won't be seeing any good pitches with Mouse hitting behind him. I don't understand why you dont put your good hitters together and HOPE they do something. The rest of the line up are pop ups, strike outs and maybe an ocassional easy fly to the out field.

Gordon was dominating at #3 why not leave him there??

That is where I am as well. I would pull the trigger on the Shields deal if I new the owner was willing to go get another pitcher next year in FA. It would have to be FA since there wouldn't be much in the farm system.

Then your rotation could look like:

FA
Guthrie
Ventura
Duffy/Paulino/Davis/Dozer
