Why is there not hardly a single person in sports media expressing those same concerns though?

Man if only logic, reason, and intelligence was the same as a medical degree.

Here's a thought: stop citing anecdotal evidence from 20 years ago. Cadillac Williams? GTFO. Dude was drafted when Aaron Rodgers still went to family dinners.

As DJ pointed out earlier, there are several posters here who believe every word ever uttered/unuttered by the media is a lie

Not saying you’re one of them.

half the media calls it a patella tendon. The reality is there are a handful of people in the world qualified to calculate the odds of his recovery and Rick Burkholder is one of them.

We're all just guessing here. Which is fine. Let's guess and argue. But the condescension is ridiculous. Y'all don't know SHIT. None of us do.

I didn't want us to draft him. Looking into the patellar tendon tear stats scared me off.

That being said, I'm an audio engineer/college drop-out/flunkie guitar player with a little more than average football knowledge.

Veach and Reid seem confident and unworried about the injury, so I'll go with that.

Burkholder scoured the medicals and Heck field tested him, thats good enough for me... my biggest concern is that they rush him along too quickly, ala Humphries and Suamataia

Give him all the time he needs to work out the kinks and be 100% comfortable out there

There's absolutely not reason for them to rush him though. That's why they have Moore.

Zero chance that happens.

I'm banking on that

Meanwhile we can see what we have in Moore

And figure out which one will be on the right side in 2026.

The first two I'm not even going to address, but #3 -- the Chiefs O *sucked* last year and the team had no business really making the SB. It was luck.

Look, the Chiefs dynasty was built on a high flying offense with Mahomes. That's what can make this insane dynasty continue -- and I think that's the view of Reid and Veach, too, and explains why they did this.

Saying it was luck is just stupid and uninformed. Really something one of our dumbass rival fan bases would say. You don’t win that many games with just luck. GTFOH with that BS.

Way to cherry-pick a post. If you had read all DJ's post's you would know he knows the difference between the kneecap and the lower tendon that helps to hold said kneecap in place.

I'm not a knee surgeon or have a medical degree, but I have experience with the patellar tendon and the Patella. My daughter was a pretty damn good at gymnastics. Until she ruptured her patellar tendon.

It wasn't even gymnastics that did the dirty deed. She stepped off the school bus into the gutter of a concrete curb it was full off frozen and slushy leaves. She fell and landed her knee on the top edge of the curb. It dislocated her kneecap. I got a call that my daughter may have broken her leg off the bus. So went down to the end of the street, picked her up carried her home. Her kneecap looked like Patrick's. I called her pediatrician they said take her to Children's Mercy Emergency.

Anyway, the kneecap kept popping out, so more deeper look revealed a tear in the lower patellar tendon. Just like that, her days as a young gymnast were over.

The above is why I cringe every time, Bewildered BWillie posts about making QB sneaks great again with Mahomes. The Chiefs have the medical history on Pats' knee and there is a reason Andy won't take the chance I suspect.
