Not saying we don't need to sign a veteran receiver, but I AM saying that I think Worthy is about to bust out.

If Mahomes is really getting back to '**** it' football, then Worthy's going to get multiple shots per game now. And with the running game working, play-action would be real tough to defend.

We haven't had anyone that can track the ball (and catch it) like that since Hill. This may make a HUGE difference.

There is no guarantees that Brown will be back in January. We might need two receivers when all said and done. But a starting calibre one becomes a must.

So even though the news seems bleak right now, The real confirmation will only come after he has surgery. If it's just the LCL then he'll have a shot at being back in January like Brown. Anything else and it's season done for sure.

It's terribly bad luck for us but here we are. Everything is in Veach, Andy and Pat's hands now.

And the football gods. Need the healthy guys to stay healthy in all 3 phases of the game. That includes your kicker & punter, who become very important when the offense is handcuffed with injuries.

Schefter just said Rice is likely not back this year…but it’s not as bad as thought.

Surgery tomorrow.

It might not be easy for Brown to just come in months later and start contributing a lot without ever playing out games with his teammates. But he is a veteran so maybe

IMO, they need the extra WR more so in case they suffer ANOTHER injury than they need it because the current talent is not enough.

It’s gonna be the Kelce show again, Worthy, ground attack… there’s stuff to work with for Andy and Pat, all-time greats figure this shit out when they have 3 months to go.

I think this is like best case scenario. 10% probability.

Mahomes just hasn't shown the ability to play '**** it' football with an OL he doesn't totally trust and WRs he's not in sync with.

I hope I'm wrong but anytime we've had this mindset as fans it hasn't panned out. If we're going to survive this period it's going to be a methodical slog that won't be particularly satisfying. But they'll find ways to do just enough to win and then it's...onto the playoffs.

That isn't a thing anymore, there is no limit.

Well, you know...I'm an optimist. :)

The beauty with this team is you can be an optimist, I can be a pessimist, and I can be right, and they can still win a SB.

Juju is only 27 and is in his 2nd year removed from his knee problems.

They need to get him involved like 2022. He’s the Rice replacement right now

If he's up to it, that'd be great. I doubt he is, though. A healthy Juju wouldn't have been available for pennies. Healthy Juju was a damned good WR.

Bullseye

A lot of people are gonna act surprised when he’s making plays again even though we saw it just two short years ago. New England killed his reputation.

RunKC 10-07-2024 05:58 PM

The bigger issue to me is Hardman. He’s only 26 and was involved in the playoffs but not now?

Andy set your pride aside man. Skyy has had plenty of chances. It’s Hardman time

My bet is a lot of people are going to be surprised when he's making plays for two or three games before he pulls up lame again...
