Idk why I just randomly thought of this during MNF, but I still remember 2013 Week 3 when Justin Houston baptized rookie Lane Johnson on TNF for 3 sacks.

Now there’s not a chance in hell that Kingsley is Lane Johnson. But, we definitely are prisoners of the moment right now. Just have to hope he wants it bad enough to get a lot better.

Kids reaction time, instincts, hand usage, feet and competitiveness were all poor in each game thus far, but he’s still a kid. Yesterday was disappointing, as I hoped we would see improvement from his dismantling against Cincy and it seems as though he regressed, if that’s possible.

If Wanya is injured, it’s time to break glass in case of emergency and call up a vet.

I was melting down about his body language in the game thread. It’s not good, and honestly if he’s that outside of himself mentally then he should probably be shut down in favor of a free agent singing for the rest of the year.

Yeah **** this guy. He can get bent.

I was pretty excited about this draft class, but in terms of impact in their rookie year it's been poor, certainly compared to previous year's.

Wiley couldn't help getting injured but had shown next to nothing. Worthy's impact had been disappointing. This guy...is a disaster. I was excited after everyone raving about the pick but man he has been atrocious. Probably only Hicks has looked solid an a very small snap count.

Kingsley had the two worst plays I think I’ve ever seen by a LT in pass protection and he had them in the same game. As you point out his demeanor is just as bad as his play, walking off after he gets Mahomes obliterated by his piss poor play.

We need depth here — we see the Steelers in the playoffs and Morris goes down we may give up 30 sacks to Watt and Hightower.

I agree, Kingsley isn't a guard, but I think Morris is a guard.

Both Morris and Suamataia can become decent tackles in this league, but tackle is really the only spot Kingsley can play.

Mahomes only had clear vision of his right side. Switch Taylor to LT

Can tell from his body language he's just praying he makes it through each rep.

Need to sign either Smith/Bakhtiari and abandon ship with Kingsley for this year. Kid needs a hard reset that only the off-season will provide.

I'm sure he doesn't care. Yeah, that's the ticket.

O.city 11-12-2024 07:33 AM

Something was off in that snap, Pat is yelling at Steele....was Kingsley supposed to play it like that and get outside chip help?

It’s not at all because it was a bad draft class but unfortunately we’re getting very little from the 2023!class as well with Rice out for the year.

O.city 11-12-2024 08:12 AM

I'd say it's been pretty outlier the past few years to get as much out of draft classes as we have, that quickly.

Steele or Hendershot, for sure.

Because I doubt they were going to have Kingsley kicking way up there to get that guy set up in a wide 9.

That's a really tough block to ask from any OT - I think someone there absolutely botched the help.
