I wouldn't be so sure about that. This is a deep draft at a couple of premium positions and safeties tend to get devalued on draft day.

Good possibility, but you hear that about 30+ different guys so somebody has to fall.

Outside of the top 15-20, it feels like anything can happen in this draft. We also have no idea who’s still going to have their pick(s) with many potential trades looming.

Just like Creed was an obvious top 25 player last year but kept falling because teams didn't think they needed a center.

If I had to guess the positions in the first three rounds, it would be:

CB
S
DE
OT

I think they want to get Smith at DE in FA along with a FA WR. They’ll grab another WR in the draft but it will be later on. Obviously if one they like falls…I could see it happening.

You can start him inside day 1 and get an instant impact while allowing Sneed to move outside, which they flirted with last year.

Long term, he could also be your replacement for Thornhill.

Address WR and RT in free agency and go defense heavy in the draft with maybe a RB and offensive line depth drafted in the later rounds.

They might not want to go back to that well after what happened with Arnette, or maybe a little too soon.
