Jauron is a lot like Nolan. Both are crazy good DC's, and shitty ass HC's.
If we get Reid, Chilly and Jauron we killed it. |

I am so glad Reid is out of the NFC East! I could see the AFC West being a great fit with Reid. He has to know Manning is near the end of his career – The Chargers will find a way to mess up with their new coaching staff again - And two likely wins over the Raiders each year. However, it is unfortunate that we both have to face him one more time this year – And then free for the next four years. It will be fun to watch Big Red terrorize the AFC! |

I am hearing from multiple "sources" on Twitter that the official hire announcement will take place tomorrow at mid-morning. Tom Heckert was supposedly flying in tonight to discuss GM job with Chiefs brass.
Just what I hear. |

The only thing written on Pioli's resume:
"Couldn't get Peyton Manning." |
I can't wait to see how many novelty mustaches are in the stands if he's hired.
I'm grabbing myself a Cheech Marin 'stache. |

So I know nothing on Tom Heckert...
Is he anything decent? What about the guy from the Packers? Is there any truth to that rumor that we are interested in him? I am all about picking from that franchise. |

Gotta give Clark credit for being this aggressive. He sounded as angry as we all were on Monday, but when I heard Pioli was in the interviews I started to feel sick. Even if Reid is a disaster I won't blame him. This is one of the best options available even if getting here was way unorthodox.
|
lol
"we fixed.....the glitch" / Clark |
I do expect a News Conference from the Chiefs tomorrow morning. I plan on having my popcorn popped and drink in hand as well as my whistle to celebrate when Mr. Hunt informs everyone that Pioli has indeed, been set free. (look out world)

Otis Smith is currently the Defensive Quality control coach. Chiefs and NFL HOFer Emmitt Thomas is currently the secondary coach. So we are just speculating the promotion? |

But I am not a fan of Andy Reid, so I am not at all excited that he will be the next coach. Much like '09 with Scott Pioli, I give props to Clark Hunt for going out and getting the guy he wanted, a guy that would be one of the most sought after candidates for this offseason vacancies. The fact that Hunt has gotten the big name candidates both times he's gone after someone should set aside any doubts that he cares about winning. But, I just don't believe Reid is the right guy. Hopefully one of these times I will be wrong. But from Marty, to Dick, to Scott Pioli, I've been right every time. |

By and large the difference between these coaches who consistently win and the ones who consistently win AND get a SB is the QBs they manage to find. If Reid gets someone like Aaron Rodgers he's gonna get it done. |

Has this been seen?
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...search-tracker "» Former Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid has an interview scheduled with the Chargers this weekend, a person with knowledge of the meetings told NFL.com's Steve Wyche. Chargers consultant Ron Wolf is a huge Reid fan." |
If Cowher wasn't willing to talk, Reid was the top get in my eyes.
This fanbase needs hope in the worst way. It needs someone who has won in the NFL as a head coach. Someone who can organize an offense. I applaud the move to be honest. |

But I have never been a fan of the way that Reid manages games, and the weapons he's had at RB through the years. I also have never been a fan of the type of defensive players he has consistently drafted. |
NFLN has been awful on this. They don't seem to have any good insiders.
