Jauron is a lot like Nolan. Both are crazy good DC's, and shitty ass HC's.

If we get Reid, Chilly and Jauron we killed it.

Congrats guys. You just landed a great coach. I had my doubts about Geno Smith but not anymore because Reid knows how to get the most out of quarterbacks. Good luck.

Agreed. :D

I am so glad Reid is out of the NFC East!

I could see the AFC West being a great fit with Reid. He has to know Manning is near the end of his career – The Chargers will find a way to mess up with their new coaching staff again - And two likely wins over the Raiders each year.

However, it is unfortunate that we both have to face him one more time this year – And then free for the next four years.

It will be fun to watch Big Red terrorize the AFC!

Chargers and Raiders are a joke. Manning is near the end.

If we do this right, in 2015 we are going to own this division.

Heckert was responsible for a lot of the Browns defensive talent, including Haden. Also got Richardson and did at least make an effort to get RG3. Most blame Weeden on Holgrem.

Gotta give Clark credit for being this aggressive. He sounded as angry as we all were on Monday, but when I heard Pioli was in the interviews I started to feel sick. Even if Reid is a disaster I won't blame him. This is one of the best options available even if getting here was way unorthodox.

Here's the latest info I received:

-They have to figure out how they are going about terminating Pioli. As many reported earlier today, Pioli has final say in all football operations written into his contract. Clark can't break that deal. They are trying to negotiate a buyout and let him go wherever he wants, but obviously Pioli wants all of the money. He did get a 2 year extension earlier around the time I got the info that the extension was happening.

-Tom Heckert is in demand and Andy may just elect to either wait for the Packers to be out (may be waiting a while) or he could entertain Ray Farmer in the role. There's some connection between Farmer and Reid that I can't link but they say they have a fondness for each other.

-Doug Pederson as QB coach, Castillo at OL, Bobby April as ST coach. Haven't heard a thing about RB or WR. He likely will bring Melvin the TE coach too. The only coach that has a chance to stick is Otis Smith as secondary coach, but that will be determined by DC. As I said earlier the Kiffin smoke was quickly put out, Ray Horton would be ideal, but they aren't going to wait around on him either to see if he gets another job. Dick Jauron is the new flavor of the hour as a guy linked to the DC job with Reid.

-Reid is going to completely overhaul the organization. He's bringing in his guys in every facet. Scouts, equipment managers, trainers, strength people. All will be Reid's guys.

-Shurmur or Childress will be O-coordinator. Varying opinions on who it would be. Me personally, I think Childress is it.

-Reid wants a 5 year deal. Chiefs, in standard fashion, offered 3. They'll get to 5 years around 38 mill when it's all said and done.

-Clark Hunt has done a masterful job taking back control of his franchise over that ****ing weasel Pioli.

Ray Farmer played in Phladelphia from 1996-98. Reid's first season was 1999, Maybe it's just a Philly thing.

Otis Smith is currently the Defensive Quality control coach. Chiefs and NFL HOFer Emmitt Thomas is currently the secondary coach. So we are just speculating the promotion?

Andy is one of the best, if not the best, HCs at developing QBs, and Geno Smith (fingers crossed) would flourish under him.

But I have never been a fan of the way that Reid manages games, and the weapons he's had at RB through the years.

I also have never been a fan of the type of defensive players he has consistently drafted.

Given the criteria that Clark Hunt set up for himself, the list of potential candidates was extremely limited.

Bill Cowher eliminated himself as a candidate, but he would have been my choice.

But thinking outside the box, I would have liked to have taken a look at Marc Trestman.

You went to bed early, then.

Just what I hear.

But I am not a fan of Andy Reid, so I am not at all excited that he will be the next coach.

Much like '09 with Scott Pioli, I give props to Clark Hunt for going out and getting the guy he wanted, a guy that would be one of the most sought after candidates for this offseason vacancies.

The fact that Hunt has gotten the big name candidates both times he's gone after someone should set aside any doubts that he cares about winning.

But, I just don't believe Reid is the right guy.

Hopefully one of these times I will be wrong.

But from Marty, to Dick, to Scott Pioli, I've been right every time.

You haven't like a single hire the Chiefs have ever made. :)

Then Clark Hunt and his posse met with Reid for over 9 hours at the airport. Reid then promptly cancelled the other visits.

Not true.

I did like the Haley hire.

I guess that's the one time I was wrong.

In Arizona? That is actually pretty awesome.

So Pioli is getting shitcanned right?

Bill Cowher eliminated himself as a candidate, but he would have been my choice.

But thinking outside the box, I would have liked to have taken a look at Marc Trestman.

He needed to make a big splash to get the fan base back. Mark Trestman may be the best coach ever as far as I know, but Reid has more playoff wins than the whole organization. He did what he had to do.
