I mean, getting beat is one thing but not even trying is another.

Not to add fuel to the fire.

No but seriously, I don't think he has any idea what happened on that play. Like he got beat so bad he didn't even see or register what happened. Why else doesn't he turn around and at least try to hold the guy that beat him? |
MAKE
THUNEY LEFT TACKLE |
Remember when Thuney played LT for a bit? That was an emergency. This is too.

God damnit BWillie we posted at the same time and I got ****ED!!!!

I was real excited about this kid in camp/preseason. He definitely showed some flashes. It seems like he’s lost all confidence though and has regressed to what we witnessed yesterday. I don't remember ever seeing such an awful performance from a chiefs tackle. Even I-65 Jordan Black held up better than Kingsley did yesterday.
|
I just realized that on none of the videos I've watched does he even attempt to help Mahomes get back up after allowing him to get hit. That's almost as bad as his play. This one is especially bad

That means either 1) he doesn’t care or 2) he’s so mentally ****ed in terms of confidence that he doesn’t realize how bad it looks post snap. |

Idk why I just randomly thought of this during MNF, but I still remember 2013 Week 3 when Justin Houston baptized rookie Lane Johnson on TNF for 3 sacks.
Now there’s not a chance in hell that Kingsley is Lane Johnson. But, we definitely are prisoners of the moment right now. Just have to hope he wants it bad enough to get a lot better. |
