Hey in some positive news my Sox just swept the Indians :)

30 ****ing years. I don't know how you youngsters do it. I can remember the glory years. I can't imagine being 30 and only rooting for this pile of shit. They make the Chiefs look like gods.

It's all your fault, Archie.

I blame sports radio 810. It's all their fault. Had they not pushed the issue of demoting Moose, and had let Hosmer and CRYson into the watch party this team would be on a winning streak. They were mean to our players and forced their agenda and we should all goes in lockstep and boycott KK and Clinkscale.
And today our **** ing manager decries the "leadership void" in the clubhouse. Yost is now officially fired in my book. |
Quote:
Random thought: Maybe a leadership void exists because everyone player that has come through Dayton Moore's system has been coddled and praised, even if they don't deserve it, creating a sense of entitlement? I mean, even a marginal player like Jarrod Dyson seems to think his shit doesn't stink. WTF? |
With the exception of a few, I hate this entire group of players. I'd make every single player available, except for Perez and get rid of whoever you can.
Give Gordon a chance to go play out the prime part of his career for a winner. Give Shields up for some good prospects. If you can get a good haul for Holland, trade him too. Give Butler and Dyson up to whatever GM is dumb enough to trade for them. It's time to blow this thing up and start again. Pretty much ever single player Dayton has drafted or traded for, prospect-wise, is a prima-donna cry baby whiny bitch and I'm sick and tired of even caring about them anymore. |
Since our "Philadelphia like" media began trashing our fine lads we have gone 3-7.
It's all their fault Duncan. |

I wouldn't trust DM to trade any single player on our team. I reached my end point with him a while back when he stated that Wade Davis was the real key to the Myers trade. |
Suck it up, pussies. We're just a few games under .500. Things could be worse. Frenchy. Emil Brown. Chris Getz. John Buck. Joey Gaithright. Humberto Quintero.
Take the pain. TAKE IT!!! Oh, and Nori Aoki swinging at a ball he should have taken off his shoulder for a free base... http://i62.tinypic.com/ehnj3t.gif |
Steven St John was going off about dyson this morning thinking he can tell other players to not talk to the media. Making fun of him saying we don't care to talk to you. What to talk about a worthless stolen base in the late innings
|
This team except a few guys on offense and the pitchers are unlikable. I'm not a fan of Hosmer or Moose/ Dyson w/ their immature shit. How about be a good player
|
BTW: Look at the two women in the Crown Seats behind Aoki. Both of them are yapping and/or totally ignoring the game.
Maybe they're the smart ones... http://i62.tinypic.com/ehnj3t.gif |

Aoki, being Royal.

So, Moose has been in Omaha for a week. How's he doin?
He's much better in Omaha. His batting average is up by fifty points! He's hitting a zesty .217 with one double and one homer and one RBI (his homer). He's walked three times and K'ed four times. His club is 26-26 and two games off the lead in the PCL. Tonight Omaha starts a guy named Verdugo vs. OKC. Verdugo is 0-1 with a 27.00 ERA. Yeah baby.... |

lol, look at the Royals home run totals.
omg |
Seriously, though, the Aoki acquisition was solid. Who else was out there? Nelson Cruz for $8M per? Who needs his 19 HRs and 182 OPS+?
Not Kansas ****ing City, that for sure. |

Dale Sveum is expected to take over as Royals hitting coach today. He ran early batting practice this afternoon at Rogers Centre. |

Holy shit, I was looking up potential replacements for Sveum at 3rd and read that the Human Turbine Dave Owen is Dir of Player Development for Detroit. Another kick to the balls.

What a malaise.

The only thing Sveum knows about major league hitting is, he couldn't do it.
And does this mean that Pedro is on the outs now? I thought George Brett liked Pedro? I'm looking forward to the Comedy Gold of listening to Baghdad Hud trying to polish the turd for the next few weeks. Should be some serious spin meistering! |
Why are you replacing the hitting coach when the leader in the leader of the team, Yost, claims the problem is there is a void in leadership???
|
Going to have to sacrifice Ned just to shake things up.
|
Anyone else rooting for a disaster roadtrip so we can stop caring...what a worthless move the players suck

They weren't allowed in. As revenge for that "snub" Dyson, Hosmer and others encouraged other players (Danny Valencia- who had a big hit the previous night) to boycott talking to 810. That took about 20 seconds to hit Twitter and reveal the players as ridiculously soft and petulant, much like their manager and GM, who the previous day had a hissy fit because the press continued to ask the age old question: "Why is Poostakous not being sent down? And he wanted to talk about the pitching. The result of that is the Royals have gone 3-7 since showing their collective asses to the world. |

As an outsider it's hard for me to comment on how much of the issues with your prospects are related to a culture of coddling. I can say this: in the last ten years the Cardinals' three most hyped prospects were Colby Rasmus, Shelby Miller, and Oscar Taveras. Rasmus and Miller both had severe entitlement, maturity, and coachability issues, and Taveras has had maturity issues.
I wonder if a lot of it stems from the nature of the prospects themselves. A prodigy that comes along with the right mindset, like a Michael Wacha and Wil Myers (not to twist the knife), is pretty rare. That said, I do wonder about the development system the Royals have in place. |

WTF is a catching instructor? Do other teams have in-season, full-time staff catching instructors? I've only heard of that stuff during spring training.
And WTF do we need one? Can't anyone in that organization just get fired, instead of reassigned somewhere to soothe their feelings or some such shit? |

And another thing: Has Sveum been standing there all season watching the Royals bat and thinking, "I know what we're doing wrong, it's so obvious ..."? And he, what, didn't say anything to Ned or Pedro? Or he did, and they ignored him? Or he finally spoke out yesterday, and the team said, "You know, you're right. You're the new hitting coach"?
