Great Masters. Glad Tiger is playing or I would have missed it.

BWillie 04-14-2019 10:49 AM

This is going to be a epic finish. Rain should stop here in a moment for a little bit.

kstater 04-14-2019 10:50 AM

Yeah I think the bulk of the rain is gonna go north

Let's see him handle Tiger pressure.

Jason Day is somehow in the mix and he has been invisible forever.

Right, looking shaky now lol....

Day has missed a bunch of close putts too or he'd probably be leading.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-14-2019 10:50 AM

A lot of mediocre golf, TBH. Players haven't adjusted to slower greens.

Good. I’d hate to take off tomorrow morning, but that’s exactly what I’d do

They all misjudged the wind. Tiger pulled his shot 15 yards left, and that yank kept him dry. Finau hit it solid and still was 10 yards short.

Depends on who you’re watching. Cantlay is playing a round for the ages and Koepka just made up a double bogey in one hole.

Koepka is even for the day after that eagle.

It's super deceiving...I remember when i was there, couldn't believe how much the wind was blowing even though it looked completely calm.

DanBecky 04-14-2019 11:13 AM

Koepka just looks like an asshole.

KC_Connection 04-14-2019 11:14 AM

This storm is going to hit just before Tiger and Molinari finish it appears. We may be in for a delay.

How does one go to the Masters? I've heard it's invitation only or something about a drawing? I'd like to go someday.

Not really into golf. Do they get points for leading and stuff like that? Like Nascar.

Yeah I don't really know, the year I went (2005) my dad's sister got us the tickets...1 practice round and then the tournament.

She had a lot of connections with her company so I assumed that's how she got them lol.

There’s a lottery to enter every year. A coworker won a few years ago, ended up selling his tickets for a $4000 profit.

I hate Tiger. He's an asshole, but he played well enough to win. Meanwhile, dicklords like kstater were absent from these threads for a decade, so crowing about where haters are is about the weakest sauce you could serve.

Yeah. This is why this is enjoyable to me. Nostalgia. Tiger was the reason I got into golf. Golf was a huge part of my life when I was young & in college. Maybe someday I can get back into it and be real competitive again.

BWillie 04-14-2019 12:23 PM

I'm admittedly just a lurker in these threads, and agree tiger is quite the asshole. I still find it amusing the haters have shut the **** up

Michael Jordan wasn't a good person either. But we appreciated his competitive fire. That is kind of like Tiger.

I've never been a Tiger fan, but has always given him his credit due, just so much talent there. But I agree, he is an asshole.

I am really coming on to Tony Finau

Pretty much where I am with him as well. Think it’s also good for the game to have him back.

srvy 04-14-2019 12:31 PM

Well I didnt think he would hold up but he did. Nice win for Tiger he will be a favorite for rest of majors now. When he took the hat off he did look old though.

ROYC75 04-14-2019 12:32 PM

Got to admit, he did it. I thought his fall from grace would keep him down. His determination to come back through all of his setbacks is his major win here. The talent was always there, sure some adjustments along the way were needed, but every golfer goes through that with age.

Back with another major is a major accomplishment! Congrats asshole !:D

I will say the scene with his son, family was something to see!

Mosbonian 04-14-2019 12:33 PM

Absolutely. The guy on the air said it best, you can tell the difference between a tiger roar and a regular roar. He just amps up golf that much more.

I thought he was done after Elin hit him in the head with a golf club and he had all of those back surgeries. I bet my friend all the money in the world he'd never win another major. Does Venmo accept that much for transfers?

KC_Connection 04-14-2019 12:38 PM

Will be interesting to see with the early start. Some pieces of shit like me aren't even up by the time the Masters ended. I made sure I didn't play poker last night so I could watch it.

This. Asshole or no, watching him win and then celebrate with his kids is what watching sports is about, for me anyway. Just a purely amazing moment.

His 8 iron shot on 16 was just flat incredible and likely won him the Masters. Everyone else just limp dicked it after he put that tee shot so close.
