Wrong. I sat there during the first playoff game and said "Alex Smith won this game. If we lose it's on the defense."

Those opportunities have been few and far between, though.

Hasn't Harrison not even been seeing snaps all season?

The missed pass to Robinson and the sack sealed the game. Smith makes that throw to him and it's first and goal from the 10 with a minute left.

Although really the Chiefs sealed their right to blame luck or any one play with the disaster that was the first half.

And if Gaines makes the int, etc.

On this we agree. It's not 100% on Alex because our O-line was terrible, but one first down (right before the half) and 6 yards in a half is pretty indefensible for anybody on that side of the ball.

Especially they guy who handles the ball on every offensive snap. Can we all agree that Smith is gone next year? If so, WTF are we doing? **** his lame duck ass. When we fall short again, how are you going to feel? And yes, the odds are in favor of falling short again. Keep wheeling his ass out there expecting a different ending. I am not gearing myself up for a letdown ever again with Smith. Mahomes may not have taken a reg season snap but I have a very large sample size of fail for Alex Smith. It is time to move on. Trading up 17 spots, giving up this year's 3rd, next year's number one does not scream "This is for the future". BULLSHIT!!!!! Walrus doesn't have the stones to bench his boy Alex that he hitched his wagon to when he first came here. "Maybe this is the year he finally does it...." BULLSHIT!!!!

We will lose to NE and Pitt in the playoffs with Alex Smith and the reality is that is we will be playing one of them in the divisional round...........again. Lost to NE two years ago, lost to Pitt last year. Beating Oakland is what you are supposed to do. You don't get extra credit for ****ing someone that you have been ****ing for 5 years. That is a given.

I sure wish somebody in the Chiefs organization would have realized that the O-line sucks balls and gone the Payton Manning route of getting the ball out in ~3 seconds. As for Alex vs. Mahomes, there's no point in debating it because it was one game of six, the O-line played gay, and Andy has made up his mind.

Even more reason to have Mahomes. Newsflash, NFL defenses get pressure! Especially in the playoffs. Let's not act like this was 85 bears type of pressure. Mahomes thrives outside of the pocket. Alex does not. Great Qbs can cover up some things like occasional leaks on the line, just like Charles used to cover up weaknesses on the line.

You don't get 8 seconds to throw in the NFL and when I see him giving up in clean pockets, it pisses me off. You will see the light one day. Maybe not.

P.S. There have been injuries on the line ALL YEAR!

ARROW2 10-19-2017 06:56 AM

Quit blaming the O-Line. He had enough time to throw 3-4 TDs in that game. Same shit I heard for Cassel.

ARROW2 10-19-2017 07:01 AM

He is scared of Pitt and that shouldn't make ANYBODY feel good going forward. we will win our division, Pitt will win their division and NE will win theirs. Two of which will get byes. If we get a bye or not, we will be facing one or both in the playoffs. If we don't get a bye, we will face them, IF we don't choke in the wild card round.

Correction. If we don't see Brian Hoyer in the wild card round, we will choke.

Red Dawg 10-19-2017 07:03 AM

Last season the defense and special teams saved Alex from losing like 5 games for sure. He doesnt have that luxury this year. It will start showing and did against Pitt. They slammed Hunt all over and he failed to make the throws. That is what hes done fir a while now. Such as the season no wr scored a td. He holds us back.

The entire ****ing team was scared of them, not just Alex.

Playing Mahomes behind a patchwork OL will do him no good.

This...

Chiefnj2 10-19-2017 07:26 AM

I hope Cincy beats the crap out of Pitt. I don't care about the score, I just want Cincy to inflict maximum damage.

And, if KC faces Pitt in the post season, I want KC's first defensive play to end with "unsportsmanlike conduct on the defense, late hit, 15 yards" to set a tone for the game.

He's telling the truth. He said as much in a thread I started about watching the Chiefs squander a 28-point lead to the Colts.
