Said a couple weeks back that I think Wease might be really good.

Fellas I think Theo is really good. And Cooper plus the freshman burner. And Manning next season right? Some weapons on this squad.

My only real complaint? Peat suuuuuuuuuuucks.

Well, he ran the offense the first three years. The on field product, play calling, running back substitution patterns (or lack thereof - he tried to run Roundtree into the ground & gave Badie very few carries given how good he was & then did the same thing to Badie the next season & is now underplaying Peat from what I can see), inability to work the middle of the field, penalties, & game management blunders all play into it.

As far as Horn playing goes, all I'm telling you is I get where fans were coming from - it's very easy to bag on them now that Cook's played a couple good games. Things looked very different a short time ago. Let's also remember Drink started the wrong QB initially in 2020 (remember Shawn Robinson - Bazelak as bad as he was, was a much better player).

It's all an extension of his mindset. Yes the man does not know how to run an effective division 1-a offense & looked generally clueless as I said many times during his tenure & there are numerous examples, some of which I have listed here.

I think his strength might be as CEO for lack of a better term like Pinkel ran his program. He can clearly recruit. He might be good at hiring assistants. Baker's working. I think Wilks would have had he stayed given the improvement the defense showed the second half of the season he was here & this OC....IDK really yet but it's clearly an improvement.

What has Peat done, in practice or games, to make you think he's earned MORE playing time?

That was dumb, just take a knee and go into halftime.

Sassy Squatch 09-30-2023 03:37 PM

*sigh* Come on, Drinkwitz. It's shit like that and it happens seemingly every game.

He did it last week too, he refuses to take a knee.

'Hamas' Jenkins 09-30-2023 03:40 PM

The timeout precipitated that near disaster. They have to clean that shit up.

Sassy Squatch 09-30-2023 03:40 PM

Not even that. Save your timeout and have the whole field open. Especially when Vandy is just as likely to call one for you to counter the alignment you initially bring out

Auburn beating to Georgia could make the East wide open.

That was an amazing throw by Cook and an even better catch by Burden.

Maybe Tiger Fan won't boo him BEFORE the next game at Faurot?

He's had several really nice throws today

Mosbonian 09-30-2023 04:12 PM

Have to admit that Cook has really looked good the last 2 weeks.....and Burden really stepping up hasn't hurt either.

Will make the LSU game interesting next week

I really don't love how we match up, TBH. Hope I'm wrong about that.

Pitt Gorilla 09-30-2023 04:16 PM

Really wish we'd gone for that one. Don't like punting from the 43.
