That rule may suck but what's the alternative? Obviously you can't give him a TD. You'd have players hurling it into the end zone every time they're close.

That first down measurement was absurd though. And I don't think it was a first down.

Today was a cursed day for football.

Good thing the Chiefs played yesterday.

There is still two games left, and Oakland has the tiebreaker over us. I will not count my chickens until it's hatched.

How so? We have a better division record.

Sunday night crew said we own all tiebreakers.

Yeah pretty sure Oakland is eliminated from a division title. They would need an absolute no way it's gonna happen miracle to nab a WC spot.

kcpasco 12-17-2017 11:16 PM

Chiefs own all tiebreakers within the division. The only possibly way to lose the West is for the Chiefs to lose out and LA to win out.

That's not true. We have the tiebreaker against all divisional opponents.

They have been eliminated from AFCW title contention.

Obviously that's why that rule exists, so guys aren't chucking it into the end zone. Instead, you place the ball back at the spot of the fumble. In the case of Carr, I think it would probably be the one yard line. If it's the six yard line and the ball gets knocked around and out of the end zone, it goes back to the six.

Carr full on loses possession of the ball and let it roll into the endzone. The rule is just fine.

Ah, yes... the better division record. I missed that. For some reason, I thought it was more of tie-breakers in head-to-head first match-up.

Never mind then, carry on.

Yes, he fumbled. Anywhere else on the field and the Raiders retained possession.

He didn't toss it into the end zone hoping someone would get it. He fumbled. That's the actual football play. I don't care that it happened to the Raiders. I just don't like the rule.
