He was already under contract on the previous deal. It's immaterial to the extension.

So yeah - 'extension' is the operative term here and y'all just gave a mediocre QB a $40+ million/season extension.

Raiders have been so pathetic on D for Carr's entire career it's amazing he has any playoff appearances.

Of course that stupid injury against Indy in 16 likely screwed him out of at least 2 playoff games.

Mahomes was a Dee Ford offsides away from the Super Bowl with one of the worst defenses in the league.

Not gonna do the Broncos or Chargers any favors in 2-3 years when they have to start talking extension with their guy...

The Raiders are just out to rat-**** the whole division with these awful contracts that re-set the markets. But hey, glad to see them pushing all-in with a team that's gonna win 8-10 games and go home in the 1st round.
