I know. That was really a rhetorical question. The emotions were still fresh in me when I posted the thread and I had to rant.

There's also a blessing in disguise in all this. My brother and his wife are going to visit him in the hospital which may start a renewing of relations. Also my brother thought my Dad's wife (evidently a very energetic 72, 73 year old) sounded really sincere in expressing his love for him. I'm happy he is receiving such a happy gift late in his life.
