Dustin Johnson's wife > Dustin Johnson
|
Oh hell I just remembered -- that's Paulina Gretzky
|
Hamas, I thought grounding the putter and the ball moving was a penalty, but Fay seemed to insinuate that's not the rule. I'll have to break out the rule book later.
I'd dj could put and stop doing coke, he'd be the best player on tour |
Quote:
In fact, Nicklaus never grounded the club behind any shot so that he wouldn't be assessed such a penalty. Johnson certainly has the most athletic ability, but having a coke problem, a hooker of a wife (that dress, lol), being dumb as **** and having his dipshit brother on the bag certainly doesn't help. |

They deemed him close enough to have an influence of the golfball. I don't see how he could have caused it to move the way it did. Dude is a ball striking machine though. I'm glad he won it. |
Crappy last day. Lotta bad golf and needless controversy. But unlike so many outcomes in sports, the right guy won.

Our greens are currently at 11.4 and it's pretty ridiculous how fast that is, I can't really imagine putting greens that fast. It's not gonna take much to move it. In my years of playing, watching, etc I've never seen that counterargument cause a ball to move. So, I guess, yeah, he may have caused it to move with that. But if so, to me, that means you probably don't need to have greens at that speed. |
Quote:
That's one of the things I hate about Mike Davis Open setups. The pros can play target golf too often. |
Quote:
The ball moving in the green rule should be treated like when you accidentally knock your ball off the peg on the tee - replace it with no penalty and move on. No on is gaining any advantage in the green if their ball moves a half millimeter anyway. There's only an issueless if it happens in the rough or fairway. Period. |
I get with current technology you've gotta make it tougher and think outside the box. But damn

I was hoping you guys had revived this thread after the USGA goat****ed our National Championship yesterday.
Erin Hills is on the clock - I'll be playing there in 8 days. Cant wait! /Bart Scott |
Two man match for the open. Stenson versus Mickelson. Gonna be fun to watch.
|
Tiger world rank = 666
Do with that what you will |
Ricky is choking.

Anyone catch the LPGA yesterday? Incredible.
Posted via Mobile Device |
No. I've never caught the lpga

I put this in the golf thread, but thought it should go here too. Johnny Morris is spending some major money down here and wouldn't be surprised if this course holds a PGA event in the future. He already has the Legends Tournament (Seniors tournament), which a portion of that tournament is at Buffalo Ridge (Formerly Branson Creek), which boarders Murder Rock. |
There is no more murder rock there. They've demolished it. I'm not sure it's where they're putting the new one tiger is helping with or if it's where Crenshaw course is.

Yes it is. I've also heard rumors that they are going to have a course designed by Greg Norman put in, south of this course. Possibly a third course put in by Dogwood Canyon. Rumor has it, Mr. Morris wants to turn that area into a golf destination.
|
Murder rock was awesome
Didn't know it was gone Eff Morris. He's jacked prices up so high nobody can afford to play. Hope he does pronto |

Tiger and Dechambeau made Ryder, and for some god-knows-why reason, so did fatty aka Dill Pickelson

If anyone is interested, the PPV match between Tiger and Phil is streaming for free on Bleacher Report. I guess there was some snafu on the PPV site so they are offering it for free.

Funny story about the Tiger vs. Phil match. Mickelson has confirmed this to be true.

That's how you flex.

Well, it's Masters week.
Who's everyone feeling this week? I thought the Cat was done a while back but he's gotta be a favorite at this point but it will all come down to the flatstick. |
Mcilroy is the heavy favorite (in a sport that doesn’t have any). Should be obv betting choice.
Spieth has fallen into the toilet last year, tumbling all the way to #34 in the world rankings. Ignore that this week, he’s nails on this track. A win wouldn’t shock anyone. Cameron Smith is another 30ish flier that could surprise. |
Quote:
I'd like to see Rory win it, I've kind of become a fan of his the past few years after not liking him early. |
Quote:

Spieth is not a great player if he isn't making unsustainable amounts of 30-footers.
|
I haven't heard much from Koepka this year, but he's a big time guy at big events.
I'd kinda like to see Fleetwood play well. |
Not exactly going out on a limb picking the #1 in the OWGR, but I feel like this might be Justin Rose's year. Dude has lead every round of the tournament except for the final.
|
I think Kuchar could be around, Kisner too....if you put a gun to my head and pick, I'll go with Molinari.
|
Quote:
(basically, 20 minutes from AGNC) |
Kuchar is not a major winner. He plays for top tens, not wins. Didn't take enough risk to overcome his power limitations and mediocre putting.
And Koepka has been legit garbage since losing a ton of weight. |
Quote:
Haven't seen BK this year, didn't realize he lost weight. I worked the ShotLink crew at the PGA last year and was actually surprised that he's not as huge as he appears on TV. |

Yeah I'mma say I didn't have intent to hit the ball when I dropkick-top the **** out of a drive from now on.
 |
What happened?
|
Phil all over the place...needs to reign it in, still right there but no consistency in this round.
|
Phil went full Phil on 17...holy shit, lucky to escape with a bogey. Thomas butchered the 18th...
Rahm just hit one of the worst shots I've ever seen at 8...complete hosel rocket shank. |
was that the one where the ball went off the end of the driver into the tee marker and ended on the same teebox ROFL
|
Damn-just get sat down. Sirens go off at Augusta.
Nice tee off 12 for Tiger. |

Who here is familiar with the Fred Arbanas course like da back of their hand?
I eagled number 3 a few years back. 2-iron off the tee... 2-iron slightly above my feet in the fairway, opened the face a smidge and absolutely murdered it with a draw... rolled up 3 feet from the pin. Goat. |
Tiger with the move................

No one has the mental toughness of Tiger.

Tigahhhhhhhhh!!

Today is a prime example of how infuriating it can be being a Phil fan....if he shoots anything in the 60s he's leading.
Instead on a perfect scoring day with no wind, he shoots a 73 everyone else is throwing a number up. Ugh. Gonna have to go low tomorrow. |
That's quite the leaderboard, what with 5 major champions in the lead and Tiger and DJ 1 back. Thinking Koepka takes it for now, though. When he gets in position to win a major, he's closing the deal these past few years.
