Can’t believe McVay didn’t play this guy in the slot hardly at all if ever. Man this guy is such a mismatch in the slot. Can’t wait to see how Andy uses this guy.

Great article. Sammy has an awesome work ethic. He is going to create mismatches all over the field.

Pre-snap - defenses are going to have to figure out where he is, where is Hunt lined up, who is going to guard Kelce, and how do you stop Cheetah from burning you deep. This Offense is going to be very difficult to handle and when the Chiefs win one of those mismatches-it will likely be for a score.

If our defense can somehow make it in the top 10, this team is going to be scary good!

Someone please refresh me on the merits of Albert Wilson again...

He was cheap and a decent 4th option.

Obviously this is an upgrade.

It's nice to read how good our staff is as well.

It is a bit crazy that Wilson got a 3 yr / 24 million dollar contract from the Dolphins..

Dolphins seem pretty happy with him so far.

He's great in practice. The question is about contact and staying healthy. Is Wilson going to go all out and play with aggression or is he going to pull back to avoid hits.

See the problem with Wilson is that you had to throw to him with anticipation of where he would be, not where he was.

Something ALEX HATED! It you were not open by a mile, well to bad!

Albert Wilson surpassed my wildest projections and saved us in a lot of do or die situations and then went and got himself paid.

I have no problem saying I was wrong about Albert Wilson and wish him the best, especially since Sammy Watkins is a huge upgrade. Wilson was a gamer in my opinion, though. If you close your eyes you can probably remember at least three third and long situations where he got the first down against all odds.

I cant wait until this offense goes into hurry up mode and each play has a different spot for Watkins/Hill/Kelce to line up in. There isn't a defense in the league that can account for that type of talent.

No huddle will most definitely create problems for the defenses.

Last year the Defenses dictated what Alex could and would do.

This year- Mahomes is forcing the Defenses to react to what we are doing.

Big Difference!

In his first year Albert Wilson fully earned every comment about being soft, gutless, alligator armed you name it. As he grew as a professional over the following years, it was very hard to overcome that initial perception. Hence the, "Is Albert Wilson Good?" threads that popped up.

The last couple of years, he was a solid, albeit limited professional, valuable to his team. He had a knack for finding openings on busted plays. He just could not track a ball down field to save his life as Paylor observed.

Wilson is replaceable and Watkins is clearly an upgrade. But I definitely came to appreciate his skills and drive. Hope he continues to have a solid career.

I don't think they will find the top 10 overall, but they might have a chance to be top 10 in Run D. Part of that is because of the youth movement and upgrades, and another is because our pass D will be suspect. I'll throw a wildcard in here, too: because the Chiefs will be playing with the lead so often :).

If Pat is ready, they should never be in the huddle. This offense should be able to line up and run a **** ton of plays with the same starting personnel. Hunt never needs to come off the field; Hill can forever stay out wide to spread the defense wide and deep; Watkins can be outside or move into the slot to create stupid mismatches; Kelce can do just about anything from anywhere now; Robinson/Conley are competent enough to flip with Watkins depending on what is needed from them.

I am expecting to see Hunt rush for 6 YPC this season, and god help a team in the fourth quarter if we have the lead, because the play action will be downright filthy.

It will be awesome if we stay healthy. But chances are we lose at least one key player . hopefully our depth is good enough and i think it is at WR. TE not so much.
