I work a ton of hours and never would have seen that KC tried to sign Fuller if Roundup didn’t post that.
I’ll probably draw some Dane fire, but I’m glad he posted it. |

Safety market should move now.
I wonder if the Chiefs will be buyers? Vaccaro at a discount might be interesting. Injury history and PEDs suspension should damage his asking price. He could use a fresh start. |

We should only need 2-3 mil for our rookies this year with no 1st rd pick |

Berry covers up a lot of messes when he's healthy, we know this. Might just be him knowing the defense and calling coverages so other players don't need to think so much, and they can just play, but whatever it is, there's no reason to think Murray isn't a better safety under Berrys leadership. Everyone else seemed to be. |

Did anyone argue differently?
Sorenson sucks too. His shit play was masked to the tune of a $4M/per though. Parker was fine year before last, went downhill quick without Berry though. Was it all Berry? Probably not. They had better NT play and healthy edge rushers the year prior too. I just think NT affects the defense far more than S. |
Hankins left Washington without a deal. Bring him in for a look Veach!

Allen Hurns has been cut by Jacksonville. Questionable moves at WR for them.
Why not just tag Robinson if you were going to cut Hurns? Instead they signed Donte Moncrief for a $10M cap hit. |

Ok to get back on topic I wonder if chiefs don't see safety as much of a liability like we do. Yes Muarry played poorly last year, but the previous season when he played with berry he was much better. I think Chiefs believe that the addition of Berry back there will instantly make our D better. Don't get me wrong I still think we need a CB and a NT and some pass rushers untill I truly feel comfortable. However from his little remark I agree with others here I think getting back into the first is a distinct possibility. If any of top NT or CBS were to fall I think Veach will do it. Remember these QB hungry teams are gonna try to trade up meaning some players are gonna fall down it might become a very interesting draft.

I thought jags made a mistake by guaranteeing Bortles contract too. What did he do to deserve it. When they needed him to step it up against the patriots what happened he folded. I would've traded for Smith or Nick Foles and tried something different. Now which had been said earlier Robinson and Hurns who made him look good are gone. You better hope Lee, Moncref , and Kendall are better.
|
Chiefs didn’t think much of this FA class on defense. They will try to add 2 guys in the draft who will play a lot this year.

Veach's comment (while smirking) in his presser stating "Who knows? Maybe we'll be back in the first round after it's all said and done." was interesting I thought.
Maybe they'll make a run at a guy like Jaire Alexander, which I would love. I've said it before, but that kid is going to be a stud. |
Are we done until after draft? Feels like we got the the two they wanted badly and now that's it for now.
|
Like I said mother
I don't think Veach is done we have 4 picks in the top 100 or so picks if we keep them all. Veach is a great evaluater of talent and his scouting team is strong. I think it's possible to add four new starters on this D next year. Plus the addition of Hitchens and full season of Ragland shores up the middle. Yes they need a NT I'm sure Veach is working on this. We really need Ford and Houston to step it up. If not Passanough or Nicholas to develop. The thing that really stood out to me on Andys interview was how tireless and aggressive worker Veach is. Andy said it numerous times. He saw two guys he's wanted the past two years and went for them. He saw Ragland , Erving, Butkicker.com, who he wanted in the draft. When we didn't draft them he kept his eye on them and waited till they became available and then pounced on them. All he's shown so far is when he sees a guy he really likes he doesn't care what it costs he's gonna get them. Yes there are holes but these holes can't be fixed. I don't know bout you but I feel confident we have the front office that can fix them. It's tough but have patience. |
do you guys like Bradley Chubb? Any concerns with him? Any shot (at all) to move up to grab him, in your opinion(s?)
|
They wanted a DL, but those guys got insane money. You can’t blame Veach for not going after those guys.
I’m glad Veach didn’t try to massively overspend on average players just bc it’s a need. Go after value FA’s like Xavier Williams at this point. Save that money for a real player next year. |

**UPDATED NFL RUMORS** Source: Bills made offer to move up to #2 overall 2018 #NFLDraft 1st proposal made #Bills to #Giants 2018 1st Rd (#12 overall) 2018 1st Rd (#22 overall) 2018 2nd Rd (#53 overall) 2018 3rd Rd (#65) 2019 2nd Rd Giants likely will counter but talks are on! |

I don't think we can trade up high enough to get up to get Chubb. I'm thinking more like Payne from Alabama or Jaire Alexander , the NT from Washington if they were to fall in the draft.
|
Giants would be wise to trade down. They have a TON of holes on that roster. They could easily grab a QB at 12 if there is one.
|
Good golly that’s a haul. But Buffalo has to do it, they’ve put in too much work to get there already.

As a Bama fan I love four of the Guys this year. Mikkah Fitzpatrick is incredibly versatile. He can play CB or safety. Ridley is such a gamer teams strategized to take him out of games but when the game was on the line he came up big a playmaker. Ronnie Harrison is so damn athletic and fast has a nose for the ball and is also a playmaker. Lastly Payne what a great name for a D player. He's big also athletic and very strong and quick. You can't run through him not many centers are gonna get the upper hand on him either.
So if either Harrison or Payne fall I hope Veach trades up they will be worth it. |
Wow that is a haul of draft picks . Problem is if you are the bills and you have your eye on one QB what if Cleveland takes him at one. Might as well trade another pick and get number one.

and the chiefs get the ****ing overall number 1 draft pick and draft Fisher. Why does this shit happen to us?
|
The Bills are dumb to not have just stayed put and drafted Mahomes.
Also... I keep wondering if the Rams are looking to deal Donald. They are having trouble signing him and are talking to Suh about signing him...they aren’t going to pay both of them top of the league money and Donald is in the last year of his deal. Gotta think Donald could be had for the right price... |

You’d have to offer Chris Jones, 3 of the picks in rounds 2-3. Even that won’t get it done
|
How much does it suck to be the Jets and trade all that shit and still not get one of the two quarterbacks.
They're going to have to take Baker or god-forbid Allen. |
I figured as much regarding Chubb.
