The really bad thing is that Moose had to transport the Moose Bobbleheads to Omaha himself. KC is now going with the "Mr. Royal" Bobblehead late in the year, since this is the safest bet.
|
I don't feel a damn bit sorry for him. He needed an attitude adjustment. Just saying as a random John Q. Baseballman, that would be quite a lowlight in the career. More so for a high draft pick.
|
Hopefully a few bus rides will make him seethe light. Personally, he will be a September call up IMO.
|
Or Valencia breaks his leg in a week and they have to call him back..

Outside of Ventura/Perez and arguably Shields/Esky this team is ****ing dreadfully boring to be a fan of. Even when they win it's meh. A bunch of butt hurt and zero personality. I should like Hosmer, he's a decent player, but I don't. Maybe it's the year he trained with Arod, he just seems like he's going through the motions. Gordon's awesome, but even his career arc screams Royal, 2nd overall, nearly busted, Yada yada yada... Ned ****ing Yost, mister zero accountability, he personifies this rudderless ship. Love me some Ventura/Perez though. Go Royals. /Yawn |
Ned needs to join Moose, or the unemployment line.

Game on tv today?

The Road Back To .500: Part IX

Like our chances pitching wise the next 2 with Shields and Vargas. Figured Duffy would be in some trouble against the Angels lineup and CJ Wilson on the mound.
|
I'm torn with how I feel. We should be playing better and the offense is atrocious. However, we are still around .500 and I have no idea how we've managed to win that many. If we could even get two guys in the lineup hitting, we could string some wins together.
It's a weird feeling. We have a better record than how we are playing but we are playing horrible. |

I just looked up Brett Hayes. He's 0-26 with no walks. Is that good?

But, Hayes can block balls behind the plate really well! oh wait.... |

And now, the most predictable Royals news of the week.

Danny Valencia is worried he broke the hamate bone in his left hand. Knowing this team, it will probably happen. |
Mother ****er **** sticks. Moose is a god damn curse to this team. Only way to kill it is by cutting his head off and setting him on fire.
|
They should have sent him down 2 weeks ago.

Moose is 1 for 8 in Omaha. He's batting .125 in Triple AAA, so far. Heh.

@McCulloughStar: Michael Mariot is being called up to join the team.
|
LMAO didn't someone predict or say something along the lines of:
"It would be Royals kind of luck to have Moose's replacement go down w/ an injury". And here we are... LMAO |
Valencia is day to day. Moose will not be called up at the moment.
|
So Paredes is going to play 3B???
|

It's pretty simple, really BTW we now have no backup infielder |

Valencina is day to day and Omar should be back pretty quick. Don't see the bitching over bringing up the reliever to fill the roster spot.
|
Going to be in KC this week, going to the games on Monday and Tuesday, absolutely stoked.

Lol, we have 18 fewer home runs for the entire year as compared to what Toronto has done THIS MONTH.
|
some interesting notes in looking at the mlb.com standings
AL run differential: 1. Oak +90 2. LAA +47 3. Det +29 4. Tor +23 5. Sea +9 6. KC 0 Pct chance of making playoffs 1. Oak 92.2 2. Det 70.8 3. LAA 70.5 4. Tor 63.5 5. NYY 31.3 6. Bal 28.8 7. KC 26.3 yet, we have only scored more runs than Hou in the entire AL With our schedule through June, I think we'll have a pretty good sense of whether or not we'll be in it late in the year. Brutal stretch coming up. |

Having watched just 2 games, I came away surprised these guys have any home runs. |
Moose just led off the 2nd inning with a HR for Omaha.

If Moose would have been playing for the Royals today we would have won with his homer!

What time would the gates open for a 710 game?
|
Letting Kevin Seitzer go, and the dumpster fire of an offense for two seasons following, should cost Dayton Moore and Ned Yost their jobs.

Yeah its really Seitzer why the Blue Jays are hitting home runs has nothing with the guys they have compared to the Royals.

Essentially for the Royals offense it really boils down to why hasn't Hosmer developed power? Butler is having a lack luster year also doesn't help but he is pretty much always been a 15 to 20 a year home run guy. The rest of the team is pretty much gravy even though you would like to see Perez or Gordo hit a few more out.
Like I said yesterday quirks of the ballparks hurt, Angels hit one out down the left field line, then in the 9th Perez belted the one to right center that would have been out but hit the scoreboard which was a double then. |

There's just something wrong in the organization. No team can be this consistently mediocre, or bad, for so many years.
