You also have to actually show up at a bar more than twice a year. There has probably never been more of a perfect match on this BB than me and THE GREATNESS THAT IS NORM! <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Pdyf9ZRjda8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Jen: Yeah. I know you're into that stuff so I don't want to put it down. But it was like everything in there was trying to make us feel better about our corrupt, imperialistic, phallocratic heritage. Frasier: ... ...They're landscapes. |

This thread reminds me of the scene in Tombstone where the tubby guy shows up with a shotgun to kill Wyatt and Doc intervenes. Then, they all forget that the fat guy with the shotgun is there.

Moment of sheer irony: my son's cartoon is doing a parody of cheers right now.

Cheers was brilliant, don't get me wrong. It was the first of its type. Frasier took what Cheers was (very much like a theatrical stage within a sitcom) and ADDED to its dimensions. Also, Frasier went 11 seasons. Just saying... |
I don't think I've ever made it through an episode of Cheers. When I was younger, whenever I heard the Cheers theme song come on the TV, it usually meant that it was around the time where my mom or dad would tell us that it was "bed time" and it would piss me off. Whenever I've seen a rerun on TV since then, I've always changed the channel real quickly because I think, "ugh, there's that TV show that meant bed time as a kid."
Same thing with M*A*S*H. |
I recorded the final episode of Cheers as a ten year old, but I was a weird kid.

I was able to catch a few episodes of Magnum PI as a kid. I remember thinking it was pretty cool, but I don't remember much about it. To be honest, the only thing that sticks out out to me now when I think back about it is Selleck's mustache and a boat of some sort crashing in the water. |

and it did a lot of UFO stories. love me some UFO's, and i'm not even morman |

Where is the next roast? The people demand more fat jokes.
Frazod contracted a flesh eating bacteria, but it died of diabetes. Being a fatass doesn't run in his family. It rides a rascal. |

it also featured one of my other favorite sitcom characters of all time, Jefferson Darcy - the only "Stay At Home Husband" I can think of on TV Bud Bundy was a genuis character too, and Kelly in her prime (ie 9 straight years) was SO much fun to look at Just brilliant, completely crushes all the other shows mentioned the last few pages |

I can't sit here and lie to you people though. The shows I was probably most into around that time (from age 5-12-ish) were probably; Full House, Dinosaurs, Land of the Lost, The Real Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, Rescue 911, Unsolved Mysteries, Tales from the Dark Side, Married With Children, MacGyver, The Simpsons, Tale Spin, Rescue Rangers, Boy Meets World, Step By Step, Goof Troop and the Urkel show. |

"Do 'em, don't woo 'em. Bed em', don't wed 'em. Date 'em, don't mate 'em" Not only was Al funnier, and never got stale, he also gave words to live by. Homer did have a fantastic 5-6 year stretch I can never take away from him, one Peter Griffin never came close to touching. |
Let's talk about Boy Meets World. I thought it was so sad when Corey and Topanga broke up over that ski lodge smooch! And I can't believe she passed up YALE to marry him!!! What, Corey can't find a small college somewhere in Connecticut???
