Now half the board is ready to bench him after one bad game?? LMAO. I expected that from the resident reeruns SDH and Clay. But the rest of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Give it more than one game for crying out loud. Smith may very well go back to playing like he used to. And if he does, then this talk cab be justified. But if he goes lights out in the coming weeks like he was to start the season, then you guys calling for Mahomes are going to look as foolish as Clay and SDH. Is that really the company that you want to keep??

You know what? **** you and your shit for brains. If you spent half as much time studying and understanding Smith and his deficiencies and how they correlate to and exacerbate Reid's shortcomings as you do thinking up "witty" Denver troll-isms, you might possibly begin to understand how there is no way on God's earth that Smith is going to give you more than a set of continually spinning tires while the ELITE teams have already finished the race and gone the **** home.
And where is this massive "bench Smith" campaign that you speak of? I've seen only ONE poster call for that in this thread while everyone else understands that Mahomes needs to complete his understudy work this season.
Quit making shit up and putting words in peoples mouths.

So wait...you are not blaming Smith...AT ALL...for either loss?

Stevie is going blackop nutty.

God DAMN what a glorious day it will be when Smith has left this team and town. And please god let him take his tag-a-long, jizz-farting sea monkeys with him.

Just pack the bags, put your reeruned, hyena offspring in their traveling cages, set the bit in your wife's mouth, hitch her to the wagon, crack the whip, scream "YA"(!), and ride the **** on out, Cowboy.

YEE-HA!

That said, no, not at all.

It's one bad game that took a fluke play to lose.

...on to Oakland.

Fluke play to lose? You make it seem like we didn't do plenty to deserve to lose that game.

-We got our ass kicked in the first half.
-Our CB couldn't get his fingers on a ball. GAINES is the reason that play happened, not poor luck.
-Our LT let a 50 year old beat him on a huge play
-Our QB missed a throw at the end of the game that simply can't be missed. Not to count the other missed throws.
-Our d-line got it's shit pushed in for most of the game.
-No pressure on Ben
-Injured o-line creates zero holes the entire game

We did plenty to lose and quite frankly from the 1st half alone we deserved that bad break at the end. I am not trying to paint the end of the world scenario here but lets not curse our bad luck and underline one bounce as the reason we lost the game.

This is ridiculous. Do you even watch the games? Alex has the best completion percentage in the league. He has had as good a year as any QB in the league, even with the loss Sunday. You can bet your ass other teams are afraid of him.

only time will tell who is 'correct' here....In my mind here is how I view this:

MOST people, I would say 90% of all of us..agree that:

Alex Smith should be the starter right now...because with him we have some degree (let's call it x%) higher chance to go farther in the playoffs / superbowl.

also I think most people agree that:

Pat Mahomes, while not ready right now....has a higher ceiling and the potential to be a great QB...the QBOTF

so , as far as 'big picture' we are all in agreement....., well if not all, i think the VAST majority of us.

So, then the key disagreement comes from the critical question: At what point do we start Mahomes?

I would say since we already established that no one reasonable is saying to start mahomes now, we actually already agree on this question too. In my mind we go back and look at the X%. As soon as that x% goes to zero (or into the negative obviously) or close to zero, you have to start Mahomes. It really is that simple, and I truly think thats how most people look at it.

I agree.

ROFL

Bet your ass, brah. BET IT! You'll gain more ass than you ever dreamed of!

No one in this league looks at Smith with fear. NO ONE.

That is completely ****ing laughable, the dumbest comment I've read all week.

Haven't watched the A22 for this game yet but I don't blame Alex for the first gif. That roll into QQ1/2 was not something I'd seen from Pitt (not that I'm infallible) and would definitely cause some confusion.

Hammock Parties 10-18-2017 08:24 PM

Teams are afraid of Hill and Kelce, not Smith.

The Steelers blitzed Smith, almost with abandon, so he wouldn't have time to get the ball to the guys they're scared of.

He literally threw the ball to the least open dude.

No blame? C'mon.

The only reason he's "confused" is because he's just locked onto Reek the entire way. No field vision.

I even agree with this. The only QBs that put fear in your eyes is Rodgers and Brady
