Just ****ing get on top of an opponent and make it impossible for them to win if the offense gets out of it's own way. |

Can someone give me their YPC when they're not playing the Chiefs? That side-by-side would look pretty impressive I feel. |
Can you imagine how ****ING GOOD we're gonna be when Omenihu gets back.
And his contributions will get better the closer we get to the playoffs. |
Everyone in the world knew that final blitz was coming, and it still worked. You cannot overstate how important Spags been in our success.

All the mediocre guys on our Chiefs Hall of Honor. Spags deserves a spot.

Still think the D can get better too. Omenihu back would help tremendously.

I wouldn't hate trying to add another pass rusher though.

Yeah, I'm basically writing that off at this point. There's some situational pass rushers out there, just go trade for one.

Doesn’t he have a bunch of pressures, a TFL and like a fumble recovery or something? On very few snaps? He’s not dominating, but he IS contributing. The guy isn’t worthless like people claim he is. And he’s still young. There’s some real potential for him if he figures out how to not be so slow off the snap |

Dline was killing it last night. This the best I have seen Chris Jones play so far. Hopefully he keeps it up.

There are some HOT takes on the front page.

Not sure I have ever been as wrong about anything as I was about that. I really didn't like the hire. Just to provide an update, though - I'm happy with it now. |
I re-posted all in good humor, hope nobody's too insulted. But what a hoot! HOO-BOY, there are some HI-LARIOUS takes in there.
:) Glad some of y'all were dead wrong. I love Spags and his big brass balls. |

Spags is in his Wade Phillips era…. Didn’t see it coming

BWillie's consecutive posts-being-hilariously-dead-wrong streak makes Cal Ripkin Jr. look like a freaking amateur. The experts said being wrong this many consecutive times is mathematically impossible. BWillie continues to prove those "experts" wrong. |
I'm not chiding the people who didn't like the hire because we all live in glass houses on this forum.
However, I will say that if you didn't like the hire because he had bad defenses in St. Louis and the second stint with the Giants... well, that was a bit short-sighted. Don't know what to tell you. You need good players to play good defense. People point to the job Flores is doing in Minnesota with their defensive turnaround, but just look at the goddamn free agents they brought in and how every single one of them is playing well. Yeah, part of that is Flores, but they don't see that kind of defensive efficiency if they're bringing in randos like Glenn Cadrez and Ray Crockett. My whole thing was I thought it was kind of a crap year to pick a new defensive coordinator, but Spags was probably as good as anybody, and I for sure thought he was an upgrade over Sutton. |

We're getting Steve Spagnuolo 'Engage 8' memes on Instagram.
This dude's just fun. |
I don't think anyone even realizes how great this run defense is right now.
The Saints had 35 yards rushing before their backup QB came in the game. THIRTY FIVE. In a game that was close most of the night. Teams used to get 35 yards rushing on us in ONE DRIVE. |
Saw a KCSN post that the Chiefs D hasn't allowed a 300 yard passer since the super bowl,, against the Eagles.
|
Do we thank Dee Ford?
I’m not positive Sutton leaves if we pick Brady 3 times to go to the Super Bowl. |

Maybe a co-ring of honor with Fitzmagic? |

Blue pill: Mahomes beats Brady, but we retain Sutton, and never win a title again. Red pill: Mahomes never beats Brady in the playoffs, but we fire Sutton and get a dynasty. |
It’s absolutely wild that we ended up not only with an elite DC but one who has done enough rounds in the head coaching circuit that teams arent as aggressive or he can be ultra picky. It’s just crazy to be living through a dynasty

1.6 yards per carry

He's the GOAT. Canton-bound. Book it.

No one, apparently. According to Google (so take it for what that's worth) coordinators aren't even considered. I think they should make an exception. We need to start writing our congressmen. |
Actually, he could go in as a contributor. It's mostly owners and GM's. But a coordinator would also qualify. I don't know if he would get selected, but he would qualify under that category.
|
I think that's crazy that coordinators can't be considered.

I counter that with Devin Hester. He’s only the best return man ever because guys like Tyreek Hill are too valuable on offense. |
Spags might deserve the Threepeat the most. Chiefs defense has been slowly built up from a joke to be the deciding force in lots of these games. Imagine last Superbowl if our defense was like 2018!
In Spags I trust |
Hate to say this.
Talking to someone today....Can we keep him or will he want to move to a HC position? Or does he understand his place and what he is good at? |
Quote:
Also, why doesn't he become HC after Andy leaves? **** Nagy, this guy is the leader among men. |
If he was going to be a head coach again I think it would have already been done.

I ****ing love Spags. Big brass balls. He's going to go down swinging or he's coming out on top and that's all there is to it.
