I think today is 5 days...nothing yet on Maxwell.

If the players don't want to talk to 810 for any reason at all, doesn't even have to be a good one, fine I don't care. 810 can keep whining about it if they want, they aren't the New York Times. |

As 'penz wrote a few posts back: hit a few HR's, go on a winning streak and all this is forgotten. Until then, stand in there, field the questions, and move on. You know... Be a professional. FF's sake, you're getting paid like one. |

I think the timing of this might be a great wake up call for Moose. He ends up having to lug his ass up I-29 to Omaha, while the rest of the team heads back to SoCal (His home stomping grounds) without him. So he misses out on going home and playing in front of his friends and family, because he played his way off the big club. That's got to sting, and hopefully that will get his attention and make him work harder to earn his spot in the majors. He's been coasting on his draft position for most of the last two years.

I knew Bill the Drunk would end up in here. He has a hard on for anything and everything 810.

Tigers losing big again today.
Tigers down 5-0 to the rangers.. with Darvish on the mound. |
Well shit, I didn't even realize that the Royals were going to be in Crapaheim this weekend.
I guess Moose doesn't have to worry about a ticket problem back home. |

Also, the Tigers have three more after today with Texas and then four with Oakland. They could easily lose 5 games in that stretch. Whereas our next 6 games are with Anaheim and Houston. Not too much of a stretch to see us win 4 of those games. |

Meanwhile, Miguel Olivo got DFAed by the Dodgers today. If some team would just lend him an ear, he'd say he's chomping at the bit to get back to majors!

I'd rather have Miggy as our backup to Salvy than the putz we've got up here now...Mister oh for 26 or whatever the Hell is current pathetic batting stats are. Since we're headed to LA, and Miggy was in New Mexico, we should chew on the idea for awhile....

I sure would like to know why the hell he performed so well in Surprise (in consecutive seasons) but can do shit within the 810 broadcast area.
**** that guy |
They don't try to get you out in spring training. They work on certain pitches and get their arms built up
|
Shouldn't have let Kottaras go though.... I liked him.
|
Bring back Kotteras and Tejada

Man I liked Tejada a lot last year. Forgot what exactly he took, but it was something that he's still serving a suspension for.
He had some character on the field at least. |

This is a .500 ballclub with .500 talent. It's that simple.
Everyone needs to chill out, and accept this fact. |

I'd still like to see a move that brings a power bat to our lineup... |

It will be on the offense to help balance things out, if and when that happens. |

If somehow the Royals were to make a WC spot. I think Shields and Ventura need to be the 1-2 punch guys on the mound.
|
Big Cat .... On your band wagon .... we have an upgrade for the moment @ 3rd ..... lets WIN some games and see what happens.... but Jeez have a little faith .... the whole AL is .500

Bo Jackson, Tartabull, Gaetti, Dean Palmer, Jeff King, Sweeney, Beltran, and even Butler a few years ago. Even The guys we have now, should be hitting for more power, but for some inexplicable reason they are not. |

I guess Aoki, Infante, and Valencia can be better than Lough, Getz, and Moose. Hope that's enough. |
Can't win without power... Need alot more xbhs

I thought this was cool. Last night in St. Louis it was Chuck Berry Bobblehead Doll night. Statue has Chuck doing the duck walk. Guess that's better than him carrying a minor over a State Line....

Good luck against the Halos this weekend
|
Gordon excelled at leadoff. Why not put him back up there and bat Aoki 9th

Gordon's triple slash as a leadoff hitter last year:
.255/.323/.415 He was not that great as the leadoff guy last year. |
Looks like we're going to narrowly avoid the return of Josh Hamilton. He's slated to return to the Angels on Monday.

This is on the front page of the Omaha Stormchasers website today. The arrival of Moose...they're SOOOOOOOOO excited! And Moose looks thrilled to be back in AAA ball. The six hour bus rides, the scuffed up batting practice balls, the Holiday Inns. Yes! Exciting!

Honestly though, getting sent to AAA has to be truly humiliating and defeating. You'd feel like your entire life just took a step back. I can't imagine.
