Unloading Russ isn't a possibility, IMO. The only real option is to design an offense around his "unique" (read: limited) abilities. I'd think that should have been the plan from the start rather than trying to run the same offense Hackett used for Rodgers but with Wilson.

The offense that maximizes Russ's abilities and minimizes his limitations is the offense he left Seattle for so he could cook.

I didn't say he designed it, just that he's using the same scheme as he used in GB.

Yep. I think he could also do okay in a rollout/bootleg heavy offense like Shanahan's.

Which is a shame considering this year’s qb draft class.

Ahhh I love Russell Wilson

As it currently stands, Seattle will be picking in the #4 spot thanks to the Russell Wilson trade.

He didn't use a scheme in GB. He was OC in name only, never called plays at all.

Are you under the impression that only the person calling plays uses the offensive scheme?

I'm not entirely sure why this specific point means so much to you, the actual point is that he took a scheme that Rodgers succeeded with and is using it for a different QB with a much different skill set.

Wilson's skillset isn't THAT much different than Rodgers. The fact that he can't run it at all is pretty ****ing damning for Russ and pretty much absolves Hackett of blame, unless you think Hackett should simplify or "dumb down" the offense for Russ, which in turn, puts even more of the blame on Russ.

At least with my point of view, you're assigning some of the blame to Hackett, a guy who has precious little actual coaching experience to speak of.

But hey, if you want to believe it's all Wilson, go ahead. You're stuck with him. You're not stuck with Hackett.

You think I believe it's all Wilson and not Hackett? Have you read my posts or do you just auto-reply somehow?

If you think your present argument is "in line" with thinking it's Hackett, then you're contradicting yourself.

Try again.

?

My premise is that Wilson is different than Rodgers (which you apparently disagree with?), and that Hackett should have come up with an offense that would fit Wilson in the first place, rather than use an offense that fits a different QB.

Somehow you think this means that I think Hackett is not the issue.

Look how ****ing clueless EmbaRuss is. No wonder all his teammates hate him.
