Williams was a good pick. With Smith getting that injury late in the year we don't have anyone who runs well between the Tackles.

This kid was super productive in college. Should be polished after being a 4-year starter.

'Hamas' Jenkins 04-26-2009 04:09 PM

I love these people whose entire argument is "**** you, Pioli".

If the pick is good, explain why it's good. Why do you think player X, Y, Z will fit in well. What will he do that will help us out? What does he project to? Who does he compare to?

If your only refutation is to invoke Pioli, you have no argument.

Appealing to authority is a classic logical fallacy.

If he gets all the credit for NE's draft, then he makes stinkbomb picks
If he gets none of the credit, he's never been the guy before

And yet, if it's either choice, he's unassailable.

Riddle me this:

Was Jim Clemons, master of the Triangle, a massive ****ing success when he went from being an assistant with the Bulls to the head coach of the Mavs? Or was he the same guy he always was and was camouflaged by superior talent?

Mecca 04-26-2009 04:09 PM

Happens ever year. LBs are devalued in the draft, and yet late guys produce every year. That's why Curry uber-high was a head scratcher. Someone will draft them and get an immediate starter in round 7.

The old fallback. People who like most of what they see are called ballwashers. But if its point out you knock everything you claim your rights are being violated

Stop acting like a pussy and man up to it. You have an agenda.

No, some of us sitting out here watching the draft are willing to let Pioli do his thing. Time will tell.

My advice would be to bookmark this thread and use it as a weapon in the future if you feel so strongly about it.

I'd be fine getting one of the ILB's and Shipley.
How does that work? Is that a free-for-all or does it follow the waiver system?

So I think they do a pretty good job drafting and also mixing veteran FA's in.
