Anyone know where I can watch the ENTIRE game again? YouTubeTV didn't automatically record it (usually does if KANSAS is involved) but I guess not the tournament games. I was busy watching it at the bar so didn't worry about it.

It says unavailable for me. I can only find the Miami game. Not the Villanova game or the UNC game. What did you search under verbatim?

If you’re a Chief-Royal-Jayhawk fan, I have a strong feeling that 2014-2023 is going to be the best 10-year sports period of your life.

Already, we have:

1 MLB Wildcard Win
1 AL Central Title
2 AL Pennants
1 AL Single Season Homerun Leader
1 World Series Victory
1 NFL MVP
6 AFC West Titles
4 Home AFCCGs
2 Super Bowl Appearances
1 Super Bowl Win
7 Big 12 Titles
3 Big 12 Tourney Titles
4 Big 12 POYs
1 NBA Number 1 Overall Pick
1 New NBA Superstar
2 Final Fours
1 National POY
1 NCAA Tourney Championship
1 NCAA First Place Finish

It has been a fun ride. The best part is, I don't think it's over yet

KU is always good.
The Royals look to be improving and will be competitive again soon.
The Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes.

Let's keep the party going!

We might have a superstar in Bobby Witt Jr to add to the list.

Another Super Bowl wouldn’t surprise me.

Another Final Four and a couple more conference titles are probably likely.

Enjoy it, boys!

Chiefs, Royals, Jayhawks, and add the Colorado Avalanche for me, who sucked last decade and haven't won a Cup in 20 years, but are now a Stanley Cup favorite (and should be for at least a few more years).

Considering the championship droughts averaged 28 years prior to the most recent 3, experiencing one of each within a decade would be pretty amazing (and 3 of 4 so far ain't bad :))

Impossible to say before the transfer portal shakes out and we find out who’s coming back.

If Braun, Wilson, and McCormack come back, they have as good of a shot as anyone.

If all 3 leave, we’re probably looking at a bit of a rebuild year. Good recruiting class, so that could still be a lot of fun.

Chiefs-Jayhawks-Raptors-Jays-Leafs for me hasn't been too bad either since that most unlikely 2019 Raptors championship. Would have been better had the 2015 Royals not stolen the 2015 Jays' rightful WS but I can live with it, especially now that the Jays look like a potential dynasty with Vlad Jr.

It wouldn't really make sense for any of those guys to leave don't think they would make the NBA, playing time isn't an issue, not familiar with your NIL setup but wouldn't they make a comparable amount off that compared to overseas?

Who knows? It honestly wouldn't surprise me that much if next year's team was better (especially if they keep one of Braun or McCormack), but that doesn't mean much of anything when it comes to the tournament or how good they are compared to other teams.

This was the worst team by KenPom to win a national title since 2014 UConn, so a lot of it comes down to how good the other teams are. It was a major down year without any elite teams in 2021-2022 and KU seriously took advantage of it over the past 3 weeks.

Some mocks have Braun getting drafted, so I can see him leaving. He might think that he can only hurt his stock by coming back. Or he sees what Agbaji did and comes back for that reason.

Wilson isn’t an elite athlete by any stretch, so he would be smart to come back and prove he can shoot the 3 efficiently. His percentage was worse this year than last. I don’t see why he would leave, but you never know.

Dave absolutely should come back. His image with KU fans has never been better. He’ll be a major focal point of the offense if he comes back. His merch will absolutely fly off the shelves for awhile.

Quote:

What an Inept and Pathetic Organization the NCAA is...

To allow Self and Kansas to win a national title when they should be on probation!!
Quote:

There is going to be a lot of pressure on the NCAA to vacate this title, even more you have two schools who have or are being investigated for cheating the last three years. Those two playing for the national championship is disgusting enough. If the NCAA has any balls, they will vacate Kansas's title, if not they will reap the whirlwind with the cheating that follows. Now Kansas* has their own asterisk to go along with North Carolina's*. Emmert needs to be fired and the rest of the NCAA's officials need to be replaced.
Quote:

Kansas is probably the worst possible team that could have won the title this season, from the NCAA's standpoint anyway. People have been complaining (even Kansas officials have been complaining) about the ridiculous length of this investigation for over a year now. The excuse is that this special group that was tasked with investigating this is a more in-depth process than the NCAA's usual investigations. But please! Truth is, Kansas should have been on probation and banned from the post-season this year, but they're the title winner. You couldn't write a better script if you wanted to completely embarrass and humiliate the NCAA. Kansas made them look like complete fools. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I might say that Kansas (which has proven they aren't above scandal, bribery and cheating) made a large donation to be sure the punishment for their crimes wasn't enacted until after this season was ended and also that any punishment wouldn't take away a possible championship. It wouldn't surprise me.
Quote:

Kansas is a model institution with a pure and righteous coach. They deserve to be number one in all-time wins and national champions. Great program.

For those who don’t speak sarcasm, let me translate: KU and Self cheated, got away with it, reaped the rewards, and there is no justice in college basketball.
LMAO

The Recruiting Services Consensus Index (RSCI) started tracking the cumulative rankings of college basketball recruits in 1999. Since 2001 when that first class tracked were sophomores, every national champion has had at least four top 100 players in its rotation.

Until Monday night.

The Jayhawks won a national title with just two top-100 players in the regular rotation — McCormack (30) and Jalen Wilson (51).
Read this yesterday too. KU may have just won with the least highly recruited champion in NCAA history?

Outside of not even making the tourney & playing in the NIT and losing, this tourney has been really rough on UK fans. Losing first round as a 2 seed, Duke/UNC/Villanova/KU making it to the Final Four & then KU winning it all has most of them on suicide watch.

One of the best threads over there is the realization that UConn (3), Duke (3), UNC (3), KU (2), Florida (2), Villanova (2) have more titles in the 2000's than Kentucky (1).

UK has the dumbest fanbase of any team in any sport. They think they should be winning titles every other year and when those expectations aren't met, they want to get rid of what they think the problem is.

Every single coach they've had didn't meet their expectations & they have wanted fired or gone.

There are some terrible fanbases out there, but UK is the worst by sheer numbers of fans & sheer amount of stupidity.

Company that manufactured the court itself says that's normal. Of course, the company that manufactured the court would probably say it was normal regardless of what happened.

I did read Gottlieb saying it was normal too, though, and he'd probably be in a position to know.

Nah, that deflection of the floor wasn't enough to cause what happened.

Bacot had already injured it in the last game, and it just gave out.

Or maybe the floorboards are just another way the NCAA keeps games close.

There's chatter about how both teams struggled from that end of the court, so now a few Kansas fans are also blaming the missed layups on a fault court.

That’s not causing a missed layup. Many of those the dudes were stopped.

That was just our guys choking.

I don’t know that I’ve seen one do that. The other panels he steps on don’t do that. We can argue that it wasn’t enough to cause the injury, but I don’t think they are “supposed to” do that.

Real question is why didn’t they tape it better than that? I’ve had ankles tape that I couldn’t roll on a push off like that. I know I’m no Bacot, but that seems like a soft tape job. I had a student do it once and she didn’t do it quite as tight and I rolled it but I came down on someone’s foot.

Maybe Bacot wanted it that way so it didn’t limit his mobility as much.

Man this has been a fun tourney

Seeing Calipari's inability to scheme even passable offense against St. Peter's was one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen in NCAA. Must have been a real awakening for those fans.

I wouldn't know. Don't think I've ever stepped foot on a college basketball court's floor other than at AFH.

Then I really haven't been paying attention because I'm not sure I've ever seen a floor "give" like that. I know a little bit of give is normal, but I guess I haven't really paid attention to it before seeing that video. I guess my question would be then why don't you see the same give when he steps prior to the injury?

I imagine the movement would have been fine on a healthy ankle, but the tiny bit of lateral movement probably tweaked an already weak one. Either way, all floors will flex some.

Have no answer for that.

Gottlieb is right. He is a complete dickface, but he is right.

Yeah it was amazing. I always knew he got by on recruiting almost exclusively but it was glaringly obvious that game

I’m sure it wasn’t built the same but I’ve even played on an elevated floor in the shitty ass bicentennial center in Salina Kansas and it didn’t move like that.

There is some natural flex with the offset boards, but no floor I’ve ever been on, even a mobile elevated one had behaved like that.

**** Puke and **** K, but there is a wide ass gulf between the Xs and Os (not to mention execution) between guys like K, Self, Wright and probably Izzo, versus guys like Roy and Cal.

There was some of that going around. I was absolutely appalled when Puke threw a zone at Tech, they had no ****ing clue what to do. I’m a hayseed shitheel but I would have at least flashed to the center or short corner. They just ****ing STOOD THERE. I was perplexed.

His foot applied much more force on that last step than the previous. And that force also had a more lateral vector.

Now that they lost the wins lead, they’re on their knees begging the NCAA to vacate the 30 wins DeSousa appeared in. Since he was ineligible.

They seem to be unaware the NCAA cleared DeSousa with the knowledge his uncle was paid by Adidas. Maybe they will say “We have looked into our decision again and we goofed.” ROFL

LMAO

I saw some of that. Pathetic stuff. They’re ready for another 9 win Cal special and know they’re never getting it back
