Keitzman just said something funny.
Arizona talk radio is just imploding. They all think Reid used the Cardinals for leverage with the Chiefs. ROFL |

You're talking about 5% of all college games and almost all of those happen before conference play starts. |

no parity too many gadget offenses defenses are weak I mean, we've seen National Championship games that end up being 62-3 (or something ridiculous) I remember the hyped Texas Tech vs. Oklahoma (or Texas) or somebody the Graham Harrell/Crabtree year and everyone was so pumped and I think the final score was like 63-7. REAL ENTERTAINING STUFF! Sure, I have seen great games like that one bowl game between Boise State and (**** I ALREADY FORGET THE TEAM) where they went for two and did that awesome trick play and won the game...I think it was against Oklahoma...where they scored on the hook and ladder to force overtime as well...that was awesome. BUT BUT Come on. It comes NOWHERE near the level of excitement the NFL brings. |
Pat Shurmur was a very good QB coach, so even if he is the OC for the Chiefs, he would still have a lot of value working with QBs I'm sure.
So if you draft a young QB, it would be good to have Shurmur on board. |
This thought that you now, after Luck and RGIII, can't draft a Qb unless he's a sure fire once in a generation guy is the craziest shit.
So can we not draft a pass rusher unless he's Derrick Thomas or a LT unless he's Ogden? |
How will Eric Berry be effected by this? I realize the DC isn't settled yet, but I'm hoping somehow Berry ends up like Dawkins.

Don't have a team, don't like the amount of blowouts and lack of close games. I find the gimmicks boring and would rather watch my dick bleed then see Tim Tebow be a successful, all-time college great. |

Martyball, spread, option, etc. The NFL is a pass first all about the QB league. Maybe it's beause we don't or haven't had one, but I get tired of watching us get shit on. |

We need Nick Wright back. The Big Show guys on 610 are so stupid. They sound stupid. They say stupid things. It is all stupid.
810 is still the same horribleness that it has always been. |

I'm more interested to see not whether or not Reid takes a QB at all, but rather if he decides to take one, which one he will take.
Andy Reid likes to throw the ball down field. He likes big plays. I'd focus on QBs with big arms as guys Reid will probably like. |
I'm just wondering who the DC is gonna be and the Dstaff?

There's one way to succeed in the NFL. There's dozens of ways to win in college. |
I would prefer Childress to Shurmer for OC

That and I simply do not have a team. Maybe if I grew up with a team it would be different. I'd bandwagon on Illinois from time to time but basically they've always been awful. |

I can't believe anyone wouldn't want Reid. He was the longest tenured coach to date at 14 years in Philly. No coach stays at a city that long anymore. He needed change and so did Philly. He's one of the best and most respected coaches in the game. In 14 seasons he's had 5 NFC title game appearances, 1 Super Bowl appearance and 10 playoff wins. If you're trying to discount the hiring of one of the best coaches in the game you're insane.

The way you phrased it, it seemed to me you've been watching a lot of Big 12 football (gimmick offense, weak defense). If you watch the SEC, you wouldn't be seeing weak defense. |

Reid loves his speedy receivers too. I think Austin/Patterson are viable options in the second

@JeffSkversky: Andy Reid consulted with former Kansas City Chiefs Coach Dick Vermeil about the job sources confirm to @6abc.

Reid does like speedy WRs, but he has isn't afraid to go after possession WRs, but those he usually targets for the slot.
One thing I know for a fact Andy Reid loves and that is RBs who can catch the ball out of the backfield. It is pretty much an absolute 100% certainty that you will be throwing the ball to your backs a lot. If you don't have a RB that he likes as a receiver, he will draft one. |

Final say” could become an issue for G.M. hire in Kansas City
Posted by Mike Florio on January 3, 2013, 5:23 PM EST dorsey_john With Andy Reid reportedly poised to become the next coach of the Chiefs (of course, it’s been close for six hours now), plenty of names are bubbling up for the position of G.M., if/when Reid takes the job. Here’s the most important thing to keep in mind when assessing who may end up in that job. If it’s a guy like Packers director of operations John Dorsey, the Chiefs technically would have to offer him final say in order to wrest him away from Green Bay, if he’s still under contract and if the Packers opt not not to release him from it. Of course, plenty of teams have given “final say” to the G.M. even though the coach was actually in charge. It happened when the Browns hired George Kokinis from the Ravens and when the Dolphins hired Jeff Ireland from the Cowboys. Teams generally don’t like to pick fights over these issues, and Dorsey has been a long-time, loyal employee of the franchise. So maybe he wouldn’t need a cheesecake with a file in it to get out of Wisconsin. Still, regardless of who it ends up being, the issue of “final say” could become an issue in hiring a G.M. |

If it's true that Reid and Dorsey are friends.....I don't think Dorsey would have a problem coming to KC with "final say" even though he really didn't.

RBs who can catch the ball will definitely be a priority. From Duce Staley, to Westbrook, to McCoy he has always had one. He targets them specifically. He loves versatile backs. It's his favorite thing to have out of all the skill positions.

The two guys being rumored for the job are Heckert, who has been fired, and Dorsey. He's currently listed by the Packers as Directer of Football Operations - General Manager would be a clear promotion. |

Defensive coordinator does not matter.....setting offense records does! If you can convince ownership to change the decades-old pre-game shtick and stadium PA music....take the job!!! |
Oh, and if you can't block as a RB, you will get into Reid's doghouse very quickly. I hope Charles is a good blocker. Reid hates RBs that can't pass protect.

This is awesome. Great hire if it happens. Identified the guy they wanted, moved on him, and close to getting it done. Can't beat that if he signs.

Did the Eagles insist on running 3 yard routes on 3rd and 7?
|
Then Andy Reid is probably giddy over Charles. I'd put money on Charles' rushing yards dropping a bit, but his receiving yards going up a lot if he is a good pass catcher.
Instead of 1,500 rush and 280 receiving, expect to see something like 1,300 rush and 500 receiving. |

QB and WR is another thing I doubt we keep an existing QB on the roster and Reid will want much more speed at WR. Baldwin is in real trouble if he doesn't lose weight and gain some explosiveness |
As promised...Players with 'staches...
And I SERIOUSLY think Tamba should grow this stache for real. http://i.imgur.com/jlPjO.jpg |
Charles could be as good as Marshall Faulk if we get him to refine his route running a bit.
Scary to think he could improve. |
