Saw the legend and creeped this photo of him yesterday at Talking Stick
Look at those mitts! https://i.imgur.com/orvCgqs.jpg |

Also think they want to send him for him to work on his defense as a 1B and OF. That is the right spots to have him work on it before he's ready to play in the MLB level defensively. |

Where are we watching the Royals this season boys?

But... BWJ played exactly 161 games of minor league ball. Got a taste of rookie ball the year he was drafted in '19. 2020 was wiped out due to Covid, though he did play around with others in whatever jackwagon thing they had happening during that shitshow of a year. And then he split 2021 between AA and AAA before making the team for good out of ST in 2022. This is after getting drafted out of HIGH SCHOOL. That's insane. Just a little food for thought as we satiate over what could be with Jac... I mean, it's not like all of our hopes and dreams rest on his shoulders or anything...;) |
My marriage depends on Jac being a star

I like Jac an awful lot.

Kyle Wright (shoulder, hamstring) will face hitters on Thursday in a live batting practice session.
Wright was shelved early in camp with a mild hamstring strain and is just getting back to facing hitters again. The 29-year-old righty will likely open the regular season on the injured list, but figures to be an option for Kansas City’s rotation mix in the near future. It’ll presumably be Kris Bubic opening the year in the fifth starter spot with Daniel Lynch IV moving to the bullpen. |

I know it’s Spring Training in Mesa… 3 games left but Regan’s throwing 97 and getting hammered. A’s using him for BP. 6-1 A’s in the 3rd.

Like you said it's spring training. Means absolute shit about shit. |

There's an OF. Royals tried to get Canha a year or two ago. He's 36 now and he hasn't had a good spring.
His power has slipped the last couple years but he takes walks. A positive move in that respect, he still hit pretty well against lefties last year and he'll get on base. |
Canha is a smart move, he can still get on base - essentially has the contract we offered Duvall - and they are similar players. He can still hit lefties and take a walk... should be a nice 4/5 outfielder.
|
A lot of us worried that JJ was Dayton Jr. He's definitely a significant upgrade.
Canha's not a major deal, but he's a great piece to add to the puzzle and I'm confident Q will use him well. |

Vinny pulled up lame during the game. ****ing spring training.... but that guy is snake bit.

Canha 3-3 in his debut

He at least finally saw the light and came around. But it was pretty rough there for a while. If Vinnie is legit hurt, we may be seeing Cags earlier this season than we thought . . . . . . 🤔 |

Nevermind on Cags then. Cahna is a 1B/OF so I guess that answers the Vinnie question for now. |

Lost Carlos Hernandez. Not surprising with his huge arm. Pratto made it through waivers.

Carlos sucks ass. Amazes me on common fans who were bedazzled by his 2 good 1-inning outings per year.

My point is, I don't think so. I'll take the carlos' arm over a ****ing stratton. I just think they kept Stratton because of his salary... which is lame. |
Stratton and Hernandez are deck chairs on the Titanic guys. It was Hernandez turn to go overboard. I'd be surprised if the same fate doesn't await Stratton at some point this season. They both suck.
|
I can say, it's nice to be debating the 26th guy on the roster.

Canha went 2-23 hitting for the Brewers this spring. He's now 5-6 in two games as a Royal and looking good.
|
I'm considering getting the Royals TV package and understand that it's now done under the FanDuel name (I guess they bought-out Bally's, or at least the Royals part of Bally's), so my question is if anybody has any experience with streaming Royals games through/via FanDuel?
I loaded the FanDuel App on ye 'ol Samsung TV, but haven't signed up yet. It seems like Roku, FireStick, and Chromecast has the App too, so I'm wondering if there are any recommendations about how to best stream the games using the/a FanDual App? |

Tomorrow the free MLB.TV through TMobile drops
Offer lasts 6 days I think Not sure how that impacts the local market but have used it for the last 2 seasons out of market |

The Bally's app is frustratingly buggy, but fine when it's working. Maybe they've invested a little more in it (not holding my breath - Sinclair is still calling the shots, and they're cheap assholes). |

So I just signed up for Fanduel, but from my laptop (Of which I prefer to watch on seeing the wife isn't a fan :(). I just went to their site (https://fanduelsportsnetwork.com/packages) and created an account. And then followed their instructions. I had Royals, Cardinals and Thunder available in my zip code (I chose Royals, but I presume one can pick whatever they want), and get a 7 day free trial. If I'm not happy, I can cancel anytime, with my monthly subscription (19.99/mo).
Their annual packages are 99.99/season thru Sept. 29th, or the whole season for about twice that amount at 189.99 and I assume is thru the end of the playoffs? I not sure about the annual pricing, just speculation. So on avg. it costs around .75 cents a game (162 divide by 6 mo=27, 19.99divided by 27 = .74) It says I can get it on any device (although in the comments they say it has problems, I don't know yet). Will see this Thursday. 3:00. Edit: I just downloaded the app onto the TV, so I can watch on the TV when I want also. I assume. |
Looks like Biggio is going to make the roster.

IF Harold Castro, RHP Taylor Clarke, C Brian O'Keefe, and IF Tyler Tolbert have been assigned to minor league camp.

IF Nick Loftin, OF Drew Waters, and OF Joey Wiemer have been optioned to minor league camp. I used Fubo last season to watch the Royals. Haven’t decided what to do this season. If Fubo is again an option, it will be an easy decision.

Just one more day ladies!
|
OK, dropped my DTV last year, so how would I sign up to get the R's this year.
|
So I don’t know if anyone here would be able to help with this…. My mother’s cable tv package includes Fandual in its channel listings, and I was looking ahead at tomorrow’s game time, but they have the Cardinals/Twins game listed. I know this was an occasional issue last year, getting the Cardinals broadcast as opposed to the Royals. I’ve tried reaching out to her cable service. Surprise, not much help there, but they did say they would reach out to dispatch to reach out to the broadcaster, FWIW…. Any ideas on how I can further follow up on this?
Also, because she’s supposed to get the local Royals broadcast, is there a way I can piggyback on her account and somehow get the stream while I’m at work, or am I gonna have to get an app? This was stupidly a lot easier when I lived out of area. Signed up for MLBTV for years and the stream was almost always great, high quality and worth the price. But obviously that won’t work for me now since I’m within Royals broadcast territory. |

I have Comcast/Xfinity in Kansas City and FanDuel is on Channel 201
Royals Live! Pregame starts at 2:00 PM and MLB Baseball: Cleveland Guardians at Kansas City Royals begins at 3:00 PM CDT Side Note - FanDuel is also on Channel 925, but the channel guide does not show the Royals game being listed. When I set up to record Royals, it records on 201. |
LFG...so excited to watch Royals games again.....

But what do you mean alternative channel for overflow? And her username/password would be effective if she does online billing, correct? She doesn't, btw. But I can always create one, and then I still have to get the fanduel app? And how online from my work computer without the app? Sorry, I am not a smart man and I've got a lot of questions. Also, just wanted to say I'm pretty psyched about tomorrow and about this season. I'm thinking we're an 88-74 team, +5/-5 either way. And once again, that should keep things interesting all season, and have us in the playoff hunt. Plenty of other thoughts and predictions, but how about you? Whaddya got for the 2025 Royals? |
89 wins. Lfg
