Easy win over a top 20ish team on a neutral court despite horrendous shot selection in the 1st half and way too much Braun. Agbaji is going to be a lot better this year, it seems. And Martin is exactly what this team needed.

I really liked the Adams minutes. Reminded me of freshman TRob minutes. If that dude can become anything in the same universe as TRob... **** I'm excited just thinking about it.

We're pretty thin on size, but if we can actually score with 4 out, it's probably OK as long as we can find a way to defend competently.

Zach Clemence reminds me of kevin mchales. If he can just keep working on footwork and playing inside we going to have something special.

Really need to focus on getting back on defense. Few teams will be able to keep up with this Kansas team if it’s a half court game.

Lately there seems to be a huge gap between the top tier talent that Kentucky lands every year and the results on the court.

The team as a whole played quite well, actually. Washington had a rough game.

The transfers looked fine.

They had a horrendous season last year. 11 times since there’s been a tournament while Cal’s been a HC, they’ve made it to the Elite 8 7 times.

They’ll be fine come March.

For reference, Duke has made it twice since their last title in 2015 to the Elite 8 and has the same number of Final 4 appearances(0).

UCLA has the most titles in basketball, but has only 1 title the past 40 years.

Only program(s) I’d consider trading Kentucky’s success for historically are maybe Kansas and UNC. Duke had some success prior to K, but not nearly the same level as the other blue bloods.

I know I've said it before, but won't ever understand why people care about titles they weren't even alive to witness. They make for a nice walk through the arena's history section, I guess.... but, I've seen 3 Kansas NCs in my lifetime, UK's had three in that time, while Duke has like 4 and UNC has 4 or 5.

I certainly wouldn't trade UK's 3 titles for Kansas' 3 in my lifetime, which also comes with the NIT seasons and worse.... and titles in the 40s or something.

I'll keep KU's Helms titles... they're just as meaningless and it's mildly entertaining when they're brought up and they trigger other fans.

At what? Braun looks better than JCL at everything except shooting but that isn't saying much. Braun is a reasonable rebounder due to his size and also serviceable defensively against big guards or small forwards. Neither guy can finish. I do hope for a Harris, Remy, Och, Wilson, McCormack starting lineup.

Apparently Cam Martin is redshirting, which seems odd. He came from D2 so getting used to D1 makes some sense, but he's a super-senior so why even go get a guy that won't be used this year in the era of transfers when they can just go get another guy next year?

Maybe he found out he doesn't have a role on the team and is redshirting to keep eligibility to transfer again(?)

Harris and Remy look like they were born to be on the same team. Their styles compliment each other extremely well.

I didn't know there were still any Braun defenders left. That will end soon.

I suspect Clemence was better than anybody thought he would be based on his play last night.

I want Braun to get less minutes but saying JCL does everything better than Braun is foolish. JCL is a spot shooter. Braun should realize that's all he is as well.

He looked fantastic but it seemed to surprise the staff based on their comments. Would have liked to see him get more minutes. Looked long and more skilled than I anticipated.

Clemence, Pettiford, and Adams all gave us reason for optimism. Those 3 with Braun and Lightfoot should form a strong bench. That doesn’t even count Yesufu and Cam Martin. Anything from them is gravy.

We don’t play a team that’s currently ranked until we play Kentucky on January 29.

We should start off with a really impressive record. Schedule gets pretty crazy after that.

The Big 12 could be REALLY too heavy this year. Only Kansas, Baylor, and Texas are ranked.

Pettiford is small, and probably limited in a lot of ways, but that dude looks like a pain in the ass to play against. He doesn't appear to be wired with as much "**** you" as Frank had, but he looks to have a ton of potential.

The wine sucks and doesn't age well at all (and I'm no wine snob, but did accidentally aged the Royals 2015 Champions wine for like 5 years and it wasn't drinkable), but the bottles are totally worth it, of course... also have a Chiefs SB bottle, too, and they have many others. Actually got one with my car, which is how I learned about it.

I've got the Chiefs one. Have zero intention of finding out what the wine tastes like inside it. LMAO

Yeah, think I had 2 of them that were ~4-5 years old and almost all of it got poured our. I haven't opened the KU or Chiefs bottles... if it was bourbon or something good, I'd not open it until they won the next one.

After underperforming last year, he keeps this up, he's going to get a lot more guaranteed money than what he would have got if he stayed in the draft. No matter where he lands in this years draft.

NBA teams are very reluctant to draft 4th year seniors high in drafts these days. He'll have to keep this up (which will be difficult, but doable as it looks like he has improved) if he wants to improve his position. Anything in the 1st round should be considered a huge success for him if it happens.

My guess is Remy scores a billion points against the good teams.
