Sean Payton LOVES Mahomes.

RunKC 01-12-2020 12:38 PM

Just puts more pressure on Frank now. They will surely double and triple team him to keep pressure off.
Spags is gonna have to dial up some nice blitzes today

I bet Spags was already planning to create pressure with blitz packages due to Watson’s lack of pocket awareness at times

VAGOMO 4 LIFE! 01-12-2020 12:39 PM

Bright wide is that at least our d line shouldn’t be run on. Bad news is we are gonna have to bring pressure elsewhere. Look for Dirty Dan to have a big game. He always shows up when it matters most

Sassy Squatch 01-12-2020 12:39 PM

There's a pretty sizable chunk of cap space that just became available, boys. Pennel, Breeland, and Fuller could make themselves richer today.

Coochie liquor 01-12-2020 12:44 PM

We’re gonna get the Texans best shot. Both teams know that the winner hosts the AFCCG. That said, I don’t think the Texans can handle our best shot. Think Andy has some magic ready for this game.

DRM08 01-12-2020 12:44 PM

Suggs is a big deal now. He wasn't there for the Week 6 loss. He's a damn good pass rusher and smart enough to know how to contain a mobile QB like Watson. Maybe Suggs can be a difference maker. Frank Clark also much, much healthier this time around than he was in Week 6.

displacedinMN 01-12-2020 12:44 PM

There are still a lot of D that are here today that were not here the first HOU game.

I’ll consider signing Jones if he does a discount. The dude clearly wanted Frank Clark money and was stupid enough to get himself out of the game today.

No sacks in 4 years of playoff games. Hurt (left/did not play) in 3 consecutive playoff years. 1 pro bowl year

I’m sorry but Veach can’t give this guy that type of money unless it’s on a heavily in incentive based deal.

This is so frustrating

In comparing last week's inactives with this week's:

Xavier Williams is active in Jones' place.
Alex Brown is active in Thornhill's place.
Deon Yelder is active instead of Darren Lee.

Just not as confident about this game as a lot of guys around here. I’ve seen too many heartbreaking losses over the years. And then last night as well. Don’t get overconfident. Any team can beat any other team. It’s the NFL.

But need to stay healthy. Injuries at QB and OL were a major factor in the Chiefs loss to the Texans last time. The offense became very ineffective after Mahomes' ankle got messed up in 2nd quarter. His ankle got messed up due to Fisher being out and garbage protection from Cam.

I actually expect a strong performance on D, still.

I don’t think the Texans are going to run with much success whatsoever and then from there comes the blitz packages. Spags is going to have the secondary taking away Watson’s first read and then he will stand around back there.

With Jones out and Fuller in, I can definitely see this becoming a big time shootout.

The playoff record is 505 passing yards in a game with 6 TDs.

I won’t be surprised if Mahomes gets close to both of those.

If there is any game refs should be on our side, it’s this one. I can’t imagine the NFL wants an AFC championship game with two AFC south teams.

Sure. Go for it. Mahomes will eat you alive if you try that shit today.

Yeah all this. THat's fine give them undo confidence so we can wreck their game plan.

No shit, I think we have lost every game Romo has done.

Think Andy is going to start with a short easy pass then maybe a run. Or vice versa. Give Pat a minute or two to calm down a bit. But I expect (I don't know why exactly) that Pat is going to go deep inside his first four passes.

The other idea that's been looming in my mind for some reason is Pat audibles to a play, does a little half bootleg off the play-action , and goes deep to DRob or Hardman on the first play, for a huge gain/TD. Don't know why that keeps lurking around in my head.

Patrick Mahomes is far more of a household name. There's a reason the Texans get the 3 PM Saturday slot every single year in the playoffs.
