Trade deadline will come and pass without the chiefs making a move. I really don’t know how I feel about this at the moment

We need a defense Veach!!

So the Cardinals beat 3 shit teams by one possession and now aren't gonna trade anything.
I hope they lose out. |

@mellinger: Sounds less and less likely the Chiefs are going to make a move.
I really thought Patrick Peterson would make sense, but the Cards 3-3-1 and not dealing. Some good players on bad contracts are available but the Chiefs have a lot of money going out soon. @BKSportsTalk: “Good players on bad contracts are available” Then go get them. If you trade for them, the signing bonus does not transfer to the new team, the cap hits go down as a result & cutting them results in what is more or less 0 dead money. So, no, that can’t be the excuse. https://twitter.com/mellinger/status...59185674964994 @BKSportsTalk: I’m all for being reasonable at the deadline. I understand the difficult balancing act of trying to build for short & long-term. But if good players are available & the only problem is the “bad contract”, that... that’s unacceptable. |
Honestly I hope Rodgers destroys us Sunday so Veach will wake up and realize we need help on the defensive side!! We have 23 mil in cap space!!

Let Cowherd and everybody think what they want. At this point I’m embracing the narrative that the Pats winning the SB is a forgone conclusion.

You guys realize Penbrook is either 10 years old or he has severe aspergers right?

Veach Sitting on his ass = Bad
Veach Trading for players who are controllable beyond this year = Good Veach Trading for players with less than a year left on contract and 10 mil + = Bad |
No matter what happens people on this site will be pissed at veach. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Typical chiefs I don't care how good we look against the Packers, we still help. Our Oline doesn't dominate anyone in either run or pass. Our defense can use improvement at every level. OL - DT - LB - CB Even a good deal for a 2nd tightend could help |
Ill trade Jake F, Mahomo 4 life and a 2nd for a 7th at this point.

I dunno, we have about a year and a half worth of seeing them against good offenses
It hasn’t been good |
So far the Pats, Ravens and Texans have made moves and are in convos with the best AFC teams. Last year 3/4 final teams in the conference championship games made moves at the trade deadline also. We need to make some moves if we want to better our roster. I know veach is trying but get something done. Trying doesn’t do us anything good unless something gets done. And when every other contender can make a move then we can too.

any move needs to make sense, and I think that's the plan. The trades so far have been jags or mindless deals that we should never make...

Stand down, play with what we have and move forward, We have only 5 draft picks for next April. We can not afford to lose more picks for what ifs. Nothing is worth that sacrifice. Let's just ride it out.

But yea we definitely need to try to keep the rest unless there’s a deal to be made that’s truly worth it. |

Do we really even needed draft picks? Veach has done phenomenal when it comes to UDFA! He’s gotten more out of the 2018 UDFA then the 2018 draft class
