I mean if your ok with nods, sighs and looks of being disgruntled then John Duton has been great. Even his brief romantic interest was uninteresting. Someone else said this but it rings true. This feels like a season of Breaking Bad where we mostly watch Walter White just taking naps on the couch. |
Quote:
Definitely agree we need much more Costner going forward, dude was Action Jackson last season but largely MIA this year |

I assumed that was the train station spot, but can't recall if that was confirmed... Did they mention anything about train station before that happened? I didn't know that Jamie knew where the train station was... maybe he made it there during a previous season that I had forgotten about. One would think that Jamie would NOT be trusted with the burial site of the families victims... |
Quote:
It was pretty lazy writing, but it wouldn't surprise me to think they both knew where that spot was, they've alluded to the fact Jaime knows where the bodies are buried and likely made a few deposits of his own there |
lol at so many people taking this show so seriously. Its literally like a far fetched violent soap opera filled with characters that like to throw out F bombs at each other.LMAO Folks in here and on other forums are way over thinking this show and over analyzing it.
Just like Ozark its fictional unrealistic entertainment. |

I liked that golden dress.
Only high point of the season. |
If I had to bet, I would have lost a lot of $$$, I was sure that Walker wasn’t going to make it thru the season. Rip seeing Walker appearing to be serenading Beth, I thought Walker earned himself a 1st class ticket to the Train Station, and this time Kaycee wasn’t going to be the one taking him.

Fun interview with Beth. Who knew she has that British accent????

but yeah those Brits make it look easy. |
1883 - New ep knew what buttons to push for me. Ever since Lonesome Dove sent Gus to the great beyond somewhere in Nebraska, I'm a sucker for a prairie gunfight.
Also, looks like ol' Tyler growed hissef an epic beard. |
is this programme as good as the reviews are making out, cant find it on any of the platforms over here yet but seems like something I might like

Another Yellowstone prequel coming the end of this year Yellowstone 1932.

Yeah, 1883 was very good.
I think I could watch a whole season of those characters just hunkering down surviving the winter. |

I have to say Tim McGraw was excellent as James. Faith was fine as Margaret as well. Sam Elliot is awesome. The girl playing Elsa was very good as well in the character, I just wish all the narration didn't sound so much differently in how it was recorded than on screen. She sounded like a husky oversouthern drawl in the narration and it didn't match her talking live.

Haven’t read through this thread but wife and I have watched all seasons. Disappointed in this last season as it was fairly uneventful and I didn’t like some of the character changes. New writers?
On another note I went hunting in Montana and spent almost 2 weeks in north Yellowstone near the MT/Wyoming border and couldn’t find a single resident who watches the show lol. One person said he watched the first 2 episodes and decided it was “too much drama.” |

The show is really ridiculous and it also rubs me the wrong way a bit too. |
Rumor of casting for Yellowstone 1932 spinoff, almost impossible to believe.
Spoiler!

First off, there was no 'season 2' for 1883, at least not initially. The story we got from the spinoff of Yellowstone was supposed to be a limited series completed in those 10 episodes. Now Sheridan is presenting his rumored Bass Reeves story, that was supposed to be another separate property as 1883: The Bass Reeves Era. No details on overlap or connections. For those who don't know, Bass Reeves was the face of law and order in the West in the later half of the 19th century. A black man who rose to US Marshall, he was the basis for The Lone Ranger, or at the very least his history most closely tracks the stories told of The Lone Ranger. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bass_Reeves https://www.tvinsider.com/1044975/ta...story-spinoff/ |

Hmmm, just saw during halftime that a new season starts next Sunday with a 2 hour episode. Paramount.
|
so So SO SOOO ready for this, the hype and smoke surrounding this season is off the hook... I'm ready for some pedal to the metal action
|
They should make Beth jiggle her ass again.
|
Yes, please.

She is a little smoke show |
Does Taylor Sheridan believe in sleeping?

Suddenly thinking I wanna record this, and watch it tomorrow while zooming thru the commercials :hmmm:

i wont post spoilers then |
Yeah I know they needed to take some time to kinda set up the upcoming season, but for a two and a half hour show... there sure is precious little to talk about today
The situation with the wolves was about as interesting as it got  |
Really starting to despise Beth

The kid actor who plays Carter really grew up since the last time we saw him in an episode, I actually had to google and make sure it was the same person at first. Also on the flashback scenes, the actor who plays Lloyd does a great impression and really nails it.

Thats why this thread is a ghost town |
I hate Beth. She's just mean and a used up slut bag and her character shows zero growth. I realize that Rip is a man's man type but it makes no sense that a guy like him was a simp for Beth and then married the slut of Montana. For what reason?
|
Quote:
Like you said, from a strictly character growth perspective, she's just completely stalled out. And hell, maybe that's Sheridan's point - she's just broken to the point that she's stuck in neutral. But I think the more likely answer is that "Slay QWEEEN!" earns him eyes and social media attention so they shall continue to have Beth toss of pithy one-liners and otherwise be a **** for little to no reason. |
Beth is a character I like the least...
Some other old perverts I know LOVE her slutty attitude. I think they just hit a market with older submissive men who are attracted to absolute bitches. (for whatever reason that is) |
I just have to wonder how much bandwidth Sheridan is giving this show at this point.
At some point even the best can have too many irons in the fire. |

So she's got that going for her... |
I've literally never watched this show...what's it compare to?

Their misrepresentation of Paraquat was profoundly annoying. Probably not unlike the scale, logistics, personnel, finance stuff I've complained about before, except those things aren't already under regulatory scrutiny by psycho EPA ****ers to start with.

The bar fight
Spoiler!

Recorded it last night, MNF tonight so I'll catch it tomorrow
I hope at least the bar fight wasn't boring, but with this show lately you never know |

Sheridan is apparently too busy with his 500 other projects to put any mental energy into this one |

I do enjoy the city scenes in the show though as many are shot in Missoula, not Bozeman actually. I see a lot of familiar sites. |

Sheridan is wasting Costners time right now |
