Don't be pissed at clay or anyone that liked Foles output. Be pissed any Reid and his 7 figures the chiefs pay him for getting him killed again... You can't fix stupid. |

I say start him against Jacksonville.
The last 2 weeks we've played the worst passing defenses back to back and Smith struggled at times while Foles slung fire and delivered. |

Man you are dumb |

Yep. Foles outplayed Smith today, that's for sure. |

Wouldn't you protect the main piece of your team a little more? Lot of money just to piss off with bad protocol and dumb ass play calling be big red. |

There have been far too many times that a player or coach would have played or put that player back in the game to win if it was not for the protocol. He was not concussed. |

By why risk it? Dude couldn't stand after the first hit. Especially when. The backup is playing just fine. Now? Now they put him at risk, he got abused and the results aren't favorable... Sounds smart to me. |

This is how I felt today after watching Foles bomb it down the field:

Tiger, why can't you just enjoy the win?
Foles looked great. Let's go. |

The game was in doubt. |

I don't think that Foles is a big drop off, if any. I would say that it's a good thing that we are playing Jacksonville this week.

So much this...

He had 3 nice downfield throws to Conley, Kelce that he dropped and then Hill for a touchdown. |

That's what concussion do to check down QBs... |

Foles is definitely more aggressive but he moves about as well as drew bledsoe. I don't think there's much of a change in the playbook, but losing the ability to run, even though Smith has done less of that this year, is going to hurt and I think (further) expose some issues with the line. But maybe that's a fair tradeoff for the increase in longer pass attempts with the good (completions/penalties) and bad (picks) that come with.

It was stupid to let him back him in, whether he passed the test or not... all I could think when he walked back to the sideline was "how the hell did he fool those doctors?" Two big hits in the same day could put him out multiple weeks, not just one Foles was doing great, Reid didnt do anyone any favors with that move |
And that game was never really in doubt at any point. Indy couldn't do anything on offense all day. I've never felt less nervous facing Andrew Luck in the second half of a game. We'd have had to give them short fields for them to get back into it.

Dumb dumb move. |

They now have one. And if Foles plays next week and has a solid game it will be full on the minute Smith comes back and goes full Smith...

Now we have a QB eating his breakfast through a straw for awhile while signing Mary had a little lamb... |

Its why I said in a different thread, that no matter what Foles does in the next 1-2 games... Smith is going back in when he is ready, the only QB controversy will be in our heads |

LMAO, never fails. The second a backup QB throws a TD everyone wants him to start. Just remember there is a reason Foles is a back up. He looked good and I like him compared to say Daniel but come on, it was one game against a shit defense that didn't plan against him.
|
KC needs a solid QB controversy.... Gives something else to discuss.

Alex Smith is purgatory. |

I do feel better that if we have to play Foles next week it will be at home against the Jags. Ware is the one I am worried about at this point. Smith will be back if not next week, then the week after.

I know chiefs fans that would rather go 9-7 and playoff hope vs drafting a QB and building a long term championship team. There's a comfort level is mediocrity... |

Brilliant move. |

Grbac and Bono sure piled on the wins too. The question is whether or not you have a QB that can win in January. I don't think Smith is that guy. |

The stupidity came when he ran the ball again. Which I'm assuming/hoping was not the play called. |

I'm saying that in January, beating an Uncle Rico led team is likely his ceiling with Andy and the Chiefs. |
