Houston went full reerun. Brock should've gotten a Chase Daniel type contract for a year or two.

He beat Tom Brady in OT in his second start, pardon me for getting a little excited. Who knows what Brock will turn into, but I wouldn't want to pay him $18M per year for the next 4 years to find out.

It wasn't really about Lynch. He was just the only QB who could be available in our neighborhood. Every year CP decides some QB in the draft is the only choice we can make if we're serious about winning a Super Bowl, and the same thing always happens. This time it was obvious because Alex Smith is coming off his best year as a Chief and has two more years under contract, but the same thing happens every year. Scientists could study groupthink here

No clue if this guy will pan out or not but damn I did not want Denver to draft a first round QB. I was hoping for a butt fumble kind of year. We'll see.

I'm not miffed about Paxton Lynch necessarily, but every QB we fail/choose not to get because we have other needs and a still (relatively) sturdy QB is just upping the odds that we get ****ed over when Smith can no longer play. We don't know when that day will come, either. He's over 30, has a concussion history, and is smart enough to know that a few extra years isn't always worth getting your brains scrambled over.

This was the mindset of the franchise and most of the fanbase in Green's last years. Kansas City has a remarkable tendency to always wind up on the ****ed side of the equation when it comes to QB luck in the draft. They never show up when we need them, and we're always on the wrong side or the wrong spot in the draft.

That's why I get nervous about every QB we pass on or get ****ed out of. There will probably be another one next year that we'll miss, too.

I just hope Alex Smith can play forever, because we're going to end up trading for some Elvis Grbac/Matt Cassel mother****er when Smith leaves.

I think everyone feels the day when we need to take someone to prepare for life after Alex Smith is coming, but that would be next offseason or the following offseason. It's not critical now, and I'm not sure 2 years of clipboard time would be better than 1 anyway.

Probably the most overrated, media-hyped QB in this draft.

If he was a better QB then he would have been taken at the top of the first round instead of the bottom. That being said, his weaknesses are mental. If you rebooted Kap and gave him time to learn how to play, assuming he's not a complete moron, I think you end up with a decent QB who can make plays.

Regardless of what happens with Lynch, the way this played out is a great example of why the Broncos are a better franchise than the Chiefs.

Lynch may not work out, and if he doesn't, Denver will quickly move on and spend more assets on trying to get a stud at the position.

Denver is always trying to be legitimately great at QB rather than simply "good enough."

But the value on those extra picks, though!!!!!
